Hello all..

I got a bag of mountian wildflower bee pollen at the vitamin store the other day...

I took about 1/2 teaspoon of it and it straight knocked me out like I had taken some kind of heavy opiate or something, I had to pretty much get straight to bed and pass out before I fell asleep in some random place in my apartment. Some killer bee honey I got seems to do the same thing if I take large amounts, I'ts just no where near as strong..

So it also gave me really great dreams, and seemed to also boost my DMT trip the nex day...

I searched the net for people talking about bee pollen gettig you high and found very little.. so I'm wondering whats in bee pollen that seems act like a sedative of some kind.?

Any one else have any bee pollen experiences or know what the heck causes this??

As an experiment in the near future I plan on taking some bee polllen right before smoking DMT, I will post the results here on this thread. I am about 100% that it will potentiate the experience in some sort of intense way..or not.... we shall see..

how did the pollen taste, i may want to buy some to help me sleep some nights

Bee pollen has been the majic elixir since the seventy's but has not shown much scientific evidence of peoples claim's. Ive eaten some at a festival where they were giving it away and it tasted quite nice. A bit dry but I liked it. Ive never heard of it having sedating effects or other altering feelings.

bee pollen is very good for dealing with allergies apparently..and I have heard people that I buy it from warn that if you are not used to it it can, for some people have the opposite effect or something at first..so start low and let your system get used to it. There is a lot of stuff in bee pollen and not all bee pollen is the same. I take it daily.

i take bee pollen often, but it's never given me such effects...
only a feeling of vitality and occasionally a pleasant buzzing in the head

maybe they were collecting pollen from some medicinal plants, maybe Solanaceous ?
i have seen many a blissfully slumbering bee nestled in the curls of a fragrant Datura blossom...

bee pollen is packed with all kinds of poorly understood, complex enzymes and biochemical substances... i wouldn't be surprised if certain raw pollens were activated or potentiated in some way through their preparation into the granular 'bee pollen' product.

This bee pollen's label says:

Colorado bee pollen...this bee pollen was collected from the colorado, yamapa and white river roaring fork valley.

I think it has definitely helped me sleep so I plan on using it in betwen melatonin doses to treat my insomnia troubles..Tastes not bad...earthy/sweet

I will try some other non-local bee pollen and compare some other time. I definitely felt something pretty heavy from it and I 'm not sensitive at all to plecebo type highs..

I'm wondering how it would go with an MAOI? probably not a good idea? Maybe yes, maybe no.
