Since I've started using psychedelics my highs from weed are different. The highs are stronger, including OEVs like lights flashing on the corner of the eye, or a quick flash anywhere, kaleidoscope/fractal on certain things, random shadow/brightness patches/patterns, stronger CEVs and a glimpse of that ''psychedelic'' effect. The maximum i've had a break between psychs was around 5 weeks and I don't think the effect was gone.
I stopped using psychs, at least for now. I'll wait and see.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Note: My first trip was 8 or 9 months ago

Check this thread out ---> The Hexolit Method

There are other threads speaking of the phenomenon, this thread is basically trying to reproduce the DMT trip through the use of cannabis. There are other members that posted that there weed high is changed after doing some psychs.

Depends on the psychedelic, Ever since I ingested copious amounts of LSD I seem to exist in a never ending trip, especially once I burn ganja I'm immersed in a full blown trip. However its hard to tell if LSD is the culprit since I ingested godly amounts of hundreds of different individual psychedelic drugs, so its hard to differentiate. Sometimes I'll have random full spectrum flashbacks where I cant tell If my eyes are opened or closed, this usually happens after exercise or any heavy physical activity. To me this is a badge of great honor, which I wouldn't trade for the 11th dimension.

I would say that what you are noticing is normal. Psychedelic experience is like no other in that it awakens you to aspects of your own mind and sense of perception that you never noticed before. It's like realizing that you have a 6th sense that you were never aware of. You will never be the same again, though that was always the case, you probably just didn't worry about it until now.

But if you're just talking about a change in the weed experience: Yes, that is also normal, I believe.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

this is extremely common, after a fair amount of psychedelic use (particularly tryptamines - it would seem) the true nature of cannabis is revealed.

of course you can get to this spot without having any psychedelic experience..
just quit until your tolerance is completely reset, grab as much of the strongest stuff you can find (some bubble bag hash infused with hash oil works quite nicely) and smoke until you are tripping (can take quite a bit more than just to get 'stoned'Pleased.

very lysergic-esque, i experienced it by accident after a dry spell, practically lost my shit.

To me, weed has always been very psychedelic. But it´s clear to me that psychedelic´s do change the way you perceive things, in a subtle way. I think that my dreams have gotten weirder because of it...or maybe my memory for weirdnes has increased.

I cannot go into detail, however I can say I haven't tried Iboga yet, I LOVE DRUGS OBSESSIVELY, which is why I chose to boast, to share my undying infinite love for all of natures goodies as well as to encourage this path of insanity, which I have paved for myself.

I think a major point here is that the psychedelic experience extends further than just a 'drug effect'.

All psychedelic 'realms' exist beyond the hit of a mere 'drug' and I believe are pre-existing before the human brain was even evolved.

So once you've given your brain a taste of a psychedelic experience, the only thing holding it back from re-capturing it is some sort of physical attachment you may possess. And everyone has their own unique network of physical attachments.

So in other words, all psychedelic experiences are waiting to be unleashed - and the only thing holding them back from always being apparent is some sort of personalised mental diversion which we have anchored for ourselves.

A flash back to me isnt an incident where you re-see a previous experience. Its a moment when you have untamed your mind in a way to see a psychedelic perspective which you compare to a previous trip which makes you think you are re-living the trip - when really you have just opened the door of your mind to see what was already there waiting.

So when you smoke weed or take other mentally detaching substances that arent usually classed as psychedelic - but you experience a psychedelic effect. What is really happening is the detachment from your every day conscious mind has led you down a psychedelic pathway which you then describe as being similar to a past drug effect.

Just some food for thought...

samurai87 I think thats some tasty food Very happy

My friends psy use is pretty low (for now Pleased ), but some part of him agrees strongly with what you have said. He does acknowledge that this could be entirely because he wants it to be true.

If it is true, it means we could, through practice (probably meditation) consciously open that door without any substances. That is something my friend would love to experience
If you know of any South African Suppliers please consider adding them here

I haven't taken any psychedelics in probably about a year, and I always see colors in darkness and sometimes, mostly in the morning, if I stare disconnectedly at something that has some kind of pattern it swirls around and bends and moves like it does when you are tripping. The effect is less noticeable than it used to be (I used to have full blown mini-trips if I would 'detach' myself) but its still there.

Since using shrooms for the first time my highs from weed were also changed. The more recently I had tripped the more noticeable it was. The same has since proven true for DMT and also LSD to a lesser extent.

I've always known marijuana to be a weak psychedelic (among other properties) and so attributed it to being more aware of what the psychedelic state of mind is. Therefore when I get high my subconscious is comparing it to a recent trip, so I feel I am tripping again. I could be way off since my subconscious doesn't actually speak to me.

A -maximum- of 5 week break between experiences? And you state you began dabbling in psychedelics 8-9 months ago?
It seems to me you may be taking this much too quickly. It is good that you have stopped using them for now. I don't mean to be the one telling you how to live your life, but I have always had some level of HPPD lingering after using psychedelics too often in a short period of time. Can be a bit unnerving, but the HPPD fades for me after a couple months of not using psychedelics.

If you are only noticing HPPD-like symptoms when smoking marijuana it may not be as serious. But, for me I take that as a sign that the HPPD is close to breaking into my everyday (non-high/tripping) life.

Personally all my HPPD symptoms did not last forever and faded with time off psychedelics. However, I feel I am more readily able to enter the psychedelic mindset of wonder since using psychedelics.
The inner soul is full of joy. Reveal my secrets and sew me whole. With each day, "I" heeds your call.
You may not care the slightest and may not be the brightest, but from here "I" sees you're mighty for you created it all.

And the jumbling sea rose above the wall.

Through this chaos comes the order you enthrall.

after doing acid, for me, weed has never been the "same" ....yet it is? I think I just understand what is happening more than I used to, so I notice all the little nuances of reality every time I'm high. This is a direct effect of my acid intake. I did shrooms a year or so before acid, and that never made smoking weed any different, but those shroom trips were also pretty weak (no more than half eighth of "average" potency shrooms). My first acid experience blew open my mind to all sorts of different aspects of reality that I never could have imagined could be experienced. Weed seems to hit me stronger now, and the last time I did acid was over a year ago. I've been experimenting a lot with DMT lately and haven't really noticed any additional effects afterwards while smoking weed, but I imagine if I smoked DMT before doing acid, the effect on my cannabis experiences would be similar to the acid effect. I like it a lot. My mind has been sped up and can contemplate millions of bits of data now, and cannabis only smooths it out. Though I do not like to be high whilst ingesting DMT, it seems to dull the experience, oddly enough. It usually enhances everything.

Big grin When I was a teenager, I would occasionally huff Brake Parts Cleaner (not advisable) and see floating orange globs of Pure Funk. Does that qualify?

I've experienced just the opposite. Spice has taken my cannabis highs to a whole new plateau. I can feel my body shifting upwards into an OBE that never fully manifests. But the visuals... Oh my. Beautiful OEV's where the bricks on the wall dance with the wind and the wood breaths in sync with me. Very spiritual from the view of my back porch.

Thank you all for the answers.

I forgot to mention that which might be a major factor haha : I'm was always stoned throughout every psychedelic trip I've had.

My first few experiences with weed were also trippy with very strong closed eyed visuals maybe even more pleasant than on any psychedelic. That effect has faded a lot and fast overtime

I smoked a J earlier and noticed geometrical patterning on the wall, then looked at the cupboard and it was there too. When I focused on it, it would appear clearer and would spin/morph just like with psychedelics. I didn't want to go further as it feels like I can make it full blown.Shocked

The lasting psychedelic effect for me is more of a consciousness/intuition thing. Those two things will never again be the same since psychedelics.
