I have the sherlock and I did a fair bit of reading before deciding to buy it. It is most definitely preferred by most for DMT. It has a much larger chamber for a start, which allows you to take larger tokes.

I prefer the bat simply because it fits into my bong, and you can make your own bong with it. I find it easier to break through with bongs. The whole pre-flight anxiety/fear is gone that way. It's also a bit more discreet.
