I've experimented with Mulungu in the past. It's an Amazonian tree from which the bark can be brewed into a tea and acts like a sedative. It helps you fall asleep in the evening and it's
hypothesized to bind to the nicotin receptors and reduce withdrawal syndromes. It also eases anxieties and depression according to shamans
[1].
It really helped me with cannabis withdrawal. It reduced the cravings and it aided in sleeping each night. I've read various experiences reports saying it helped them with nicotine withdrawal. Mind you, these are only user experiences and might be completely placebo but there are also multiple people reporting it's effects
[2].
This experience suggests that high doses appear to be safe.
Please remember that Mulungu is a
sedative. Don't drive, operate heavy machinery or partake in any other activities that require quick reaction times when you have taken Mulungu. I would suggest to dose in the evening before bed time. Experiment a bit with the dose to find what works for you. If you brew 3 teaspoons shredded herb(2 for powdered) and can't sleep a hour later, brew some more. You could always brew a large amount into a tea, reduce and take shots of it. Makes it easier to work out a proper dose and doesn't require a brew each evening.
HOWEVER, brewing and drinking the tea before making your way to the bathroom to wash up / shower / prepare for bed and then go to bed provide a nice bed time ritual. If you make that ritual an every night thing your body will adept and begin it's own bed time ritual as well. You will fall asleep easier.
Perhaps a spiritual experience combined with this will help you as good as it did for me.
