i often am frustrated by the frequency with which i plan to do something, yet the slings and arrows of life make me so worried that i think i should cancel.

how often have you people run into this problem, and what are the kinds of things that you would cancel something like this because of? emergencies aside - i understand someone having a baby or dying or crashing their car is serious. im wondering what your cases are that would be on the cusp of feasibility or cancellability. where you draw the line, if you will, and call it a night/day.
