Hey guys, I have been a lurker for the past few weeks and decided to make an account. I look forward to becoming part of the community! You guy's are a pool of knowledge and I have learned a lot so far.

Question about evaporation:
As an experienced chemist in the lab I know that a lot of times we use evaporation to drive the formation of crystals. I also see that this is a popular method in extractions.

Would it be possible to solely evaporate the Naptha off without ever introducing the solution to reduced temperature to form crystals? I know that in the lab roto-vapping produces nice uniform crystal formation and can be done with or without chilling the solution first.

If this is possible would it affect the purity of said crystals?

Thanks for answering so quickly man. I think my friend is convinced to do some dry ice in the freezer extractions for the first pulls and a complete evaporation of the solvents in a large flat container for the latter pulls (that way nothing goes to waste)! I'll be sure to have him report his yields!
