Hey guys,

I'm living in central Australia which only has one known plant containing large enough quantities of DMT, that being Petalostylis cassioides, And have not had much luck in extracting anything consistent with that.

Now i am thinking of testing some local acacia sp. that have not been identified as containing anyhting of interest.

I have a test kit arriving soon, that will determine what it is that I possibly extract.

i am wondering if anyone has any advice on what to look for in an acacia tree. Is there any similarities between the well known species that people use so often on the coast of Australia, in terms of leaves, flowers, bark etc.

I assume there is not much in common except that they are acacia's but I thought I would ask.

I am enjoying the extraction process (even though not too much has come out of it) And I would love to be able to discover a new species

Hopefully some ppl can shed some insight onto more arid species of Acacia.

THanks

a good majority of the higher tryptamine content acacia's are in the longifolia group.. subgenus phyllodineae.. But are certainly not confined to that group

I'm not sure what species grow in your area though sorry..

good luck with it!

Thanks for the help Bricklaya,

I think I might start with acacia tetragonophylla as it's so abundant out here and also in the sub genus Phyllodineae.

Will let the community know how it goes!!

..hey there Heff, i'm pressed for time right now, very interesting work indeed..Smile
check the Acacia info thread https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/d...m=265884&#post265884 and look in INDEX p.1 of thread for advice on TLC/reagents/testing proceedure..most dmt acacias seem to have longish phyllodes, thick with many fine parallel veins, and tend to paler flowers (spike or ball), and reddish new growth..

see you about..

Thanks for the advice Nen888,

I went to the good old botanical gardens here in the centre and had a look at what acacia's i'm likely to find here. I noted all the ones which had similar traits in which you mentioned.

I have just went for a ride around the streets to see what I could find, and after looking at alllll the different Acacia's here( there are so many growing) I have started on Acacia salicina.

I am currently doing an A/B tek on the phyllodes, And will post all results.

As I said earlier, i Do not have a test kit yet as It is in the mail but as soon As I do I will be able to better Identify anything that does come out of this exercise

hey mate im in sydney and there are a few species that grow here naturally however they are still hard to find. i guess some one has beaten me to it where ever i look haha. i have done a few extrations on acacia trees i have not been 100% sure on the species and have gotten a sick on occasions. i get the right end result of a white powder however it is a combination of stuff im not sure about. i have heard of people ordering acacia online and having them delivered but not sure how true this is or where its worth it cause the tree would be really young and not have high yields. anyway let me know how u go with ur extractions. what a/b do u use

Hey dragonnexus, I was advised by Endless on a test kit to detect what comes through in the end. I ordered an Ehrlich test kit. I'm still waiting for it though, But not to worry as I have no end product to test yet so hopefully it comes next week when I get back home.

I made sure the Acacia was a mature one. maybe 5-6m tall, also it hasn't rained here for many weeks so I'm hoping that if there is anything in the phyllodes than I should be able to extract it.

The A/B tek I'm doing is kinda the DMT handbook. I just finished the acid cooks.

500gm of phyllodes grinded up boiled in some water with white vinegar pH of about 4 I did 3 cooks. the first 2 were for approx 1.5 hours each. then the 3rd time i covered the phyllodes with more acidified water and left to soak overnight. then heated up today for 30mins.

I have just strained all of it through some screen printing cloth and have reduced 4L down to just under 2L

It is now just cooling down a bit before I add my Caustic Soda.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

I'm sure you could purchase any acacia through the mail. Some people here should know more about that.

..actually, the only one you could do this with is Acacia confusa which is harvested for Chinese medicine..None of the Australian species could withstand commercial harvesting!, this would lead to the possible extinction of a few..some people are now successfully growing useful species, but most occur in natural reserve conditions..the information i offer on acacias is for the general scientific/ecological understanding, and not an encouragement for industry..

a common central aus species is A. coolgardiensis var. latoir see p12 acacia info thread..

Thanks again Nen888,

I'll look into A.latoir, not sure if it grows here right in the centre but it does look very similar to one that I have seen around.

I will see what I can find and let you know of any success

I heard once from a guy that has tested acacia from all over Australia that Acacia estrophiolata might be worth checking out. I can't say for sure though as I've never tested it my self but might be worth a try.
From where is the noise?
