Something is telling me that using a laser lighter to vaporize DMT we be more efficient than a butane torch,but they're really expensive, so I give you this link I found.

I almost forget to mention, I was actually planning on making one of these for when I first try DMT, so whenever that is I will start a new topic on how well it worked.

A torch lighter and a GVG vapes a full dose in about 5 secs, i dont think you can really improve on that and if you can i dont really think its necessary, but if you make one let us know how it works out for you

Did anyone else notice when the guy was lighting his cigarette, it was pretty much hitting him in the face?

I actually did notice that it was practically hitting his face, he probably didn't plan it to have the irony. I know it didn't actually show him lighting the cigarette fully but if it can light a fuse, than it should be able to vaporize DMT. When I make my version of that I'm going to try to find a small enough voltage regulator so I can fine tune how hot the laser burns so it only melts and vaporizes it and if I can calibrate it with enough accuracy I would never need to worry about burning the DMT.

Ok first of all this wont work the way you are thinking. I have built 2 lasers. Both being 405nm which is visible Ultra Violet light. It is purple and reacts with glow in the dark objects charging them instantly.

If you're using a GVG this wont work at all. You will end up ruining your ceramic filter.

If your doing the sandwich method this will make you very frustrated and your better off using a lighter or torch.

And this definitely will not work at all with the meth style vaporizer bulbs. The laser will pass through the glass and will not heat up your DMT.

The lighter thing is retarded, you can get an awesome flashlight host for around $40 from mohgasm.

You would need a laser of 200mw or more in order to sufficiently light a cigarette or similiar material. You have to focus the focal point of the laser beam in order to achieve its burning ability. That focal point is literally 1/16th of an inch in length and you have to find the distance between the laser diode and your material which would prove frustrating while trying to blast off with DMT.

Also, the reason that guy was having issues lighting that cigarette was because you have to have the laser stationary. Higher wattage lasers burn at higher temps which would decrease the need to keep it stationary. Which would also increase its ability to "burn DMT".

Using a lighter to smoke weed is much easier than with a laser. WEM, a cheaper way to accomplish what you are trying to experiment with would be to get a magnifying glass. Use that to focus sunlight into a beam and see if that works. The reason I am suggesting this is because of three things.

1. Keeping a sun beam focused with a magnifying glass in order to burn ANYTHING is just as difficult as holding a laser at the correct distance and steadiness to catch things on fire with.

2. A magnifying glass is much cheaper.

3. Focused sun light is the same as a laser. Except a laser is only two types of light, either UV light mixed with 1 color. Or IR light mixed with 1 color. Fully UV or IR laser are invisible to our eyes, hence the color that is added.

Somewhat OT, but anrchy can you post or PM me some info or a link about the lasers you've built? I had a 75mW green one that didn't last and I would love to look at a DIY project to replace it!

lasers are actually rather inefficient, but they are highly focused.. so the area you'd superheat would be so small, you wouldn't vaporize enough to get any effect

I still would like to either buy/make a burning laser for other uses other than in vaporizing, but I guess it'll probably end up being more hassle than it's worth to use it with DMT.

It might work if you keep the laser focused on something in one chamber that would serve as a heat sink. Once the heat sink is hot enough, you could then inhale and force the hot air from that chamber into a separate chamber with the DMT, providing true convection vaporization.

^^ that sounds like a contraption that is more complicated with little reward.

And benzyme is correct. The diameter of the beam is so small and heats up so quickly that you don't have enough leeway to heat up a pile of dmt without waste.

What you need is:

A diode. My build uses an PHT-803 operates at 405nm

Diode housing: these are cheap and easy to find. Any website that sells laser pointer parts and diodes will have the housings. You can usually get a diode already pressed in one or do it your self.

Driver: I started with the rockstar driver. Has a pot switch but was more hassle than it was worth. Now I use the mohgasm, $40 gets you the host with the driver already installed. All you gotta do is press your diode into a housing and sodder the pins to the wires on the housing.

Host: google mohgasm. There is a website that sells the host kit. You still need a diode.

Well you need to choose which diode you want anyways so it wouldn't really be any different if you chose one in the same order anyways. Unfortunately if you want a green laser you kinda have to build your own diode.

The green ones are the most powerful. I like the blue and violet ones myself. The uv laser are like backlight in a beam. You can draw on glow I the dark stuff and if it's powerful enough will catch stuff on fire. Don't max out the wattage of the diode you choose. It will last longer.
