In the Dragon Ball series, they use a healing tank fairly often whenever someone (mostly Goku) gets badly injured. I know that we have isolation tanks for other uses (meditation, problem solving, consciousness exploration), but I haven't really found any that have been used for healing (other than mental/spiritual healing) like they do in the Dragon Ball series. What I've always wondered ever since I've watched the show was if those tanks would work as well as depicted. Another note, to make it relevant to the forum, has anyone ever heard of using DMT with an isolation tank before? I'm thinking that there probably hasn't been much research with it because you'd probably drown because of the loss of motor function with the use of DMT; however, the tank used in the Dragon Ball series has a breathing system similar to Scuba and strapped to the face, making it a lot safer if someone were get into a tank immediately after smoking DMT (or somehow smoke while in the tank). I'm not entirely sure what the chances of purging are after smoking dmt (as opposed to drinking aya). Has anyone else thought of this before?

I think you need to do some basic research on isolation tanks because I'm pretty sure they do facilitate healing. I think entering meditative mind states helps focus your emotional states and reactions which boosts the immune system, but I'm sure the tank works on healing you with more ways than just that.
