Hello all, new member here.

I've heard of my friends using DMT as more of a recreational drug than anything, yet had never researched it until fairly recently. I had no idea there was an entire spiritual community based around its synthesis!

I meditate frequently and have truck-loads of incense to help me entire my spiritual realm. DMT, however, this is a real trip. Is DMT actually a tool to self-discovery and spiritual familiarization? Or is more of a fun ride that allows you to experience the power of the human mind, as it is great.

In the case of it being a tool for spiritual guidance, what steps would SWIM(don't know if that's necessary here) take to start their use? they've heard of jeruma being the extraction plant of choice for many, however they've no idea where a good source to obtain it would be. SWIM is fairly adept with chemistry, so extracting it wouldn't be a problem. However, the plant extraction material is proving quite difficult to find...

Also, could someone give me a count of their DMT experience(s)? What have you gotten out of your journeys?

I would say that DMT is NOT a recreational drug by any means and should not be used as such. As for it being a spiritual substance, that is debated. The nexus isn't a spiritual forum although there are some spiritual people here, it is a forum for learning and sharing information and thoughts on the molecule. There are many discussions about whether or not DMT is a tangible connection to other realms ie. "spiritual" or if it allows the user to explore their own mind and consciousness at a deeper level, everyone has their unique opinion on what it does and I guess it is up to you to decide that for yourself.

If you are looking to DMT for spiritual guidance then I would say you are pursuing it for the right reasons (or at least a valid reason other than recreation) I can't say for sure whether you will find what you are looking for but I assure you that you will find something amazing and intriguing nonetheless.

If you are interested in trying it I would suggest doing a fair amount of research about its effects and so on. There is a wealth of information here at the nexus that can help you as well as multiple other sites found easily through a google search. I'm not sure if you have access to the suppliers section but check that out if you can, if not just hang around here for a bit and you will be promoted soon enough!

As for my personal experiences, I am not as experienced as some other members but I have had my share I haven't had too many spiritual journeys but the one I did was beautiful, I experienced a profound connection with everything. I was "god", I was everyone and everything simultaneously and it left me feeling very appreciative for my life and everything/one in it. Other than that I have seen a few entities but never communicated with them and did not feel spiritual while viewing them. I often find that I have insights or thoughts about life and relationships while I meditate on the comedown.
