Hello everyone Smile

I joined this forum to read about the technical side of the caapi plants and ask questions about it.
I'm not entirely sure what the difference between the black, white, yellow, and red are besides the maoi content and I'm not sure which one is more... invoking, so to speak. I've had a lot of encounters with the white over the past year but the others I am a bit uncertain.
I read on a site that the black caapi is mainly used by shamans and not the patients.
Why is that? What are the differences between the white and black?

I hope I can find several answers to this question as well as other curiosities I might have about the red and yellow...

I know that's not much of a "hello my name is" type of paragraph but this question is really itching my mind hee hee Big grin and I have a hard time sorta writing about myself nowadays... I'm sure if I write enough here however, you'll get your own ideas about what kind of fellow I am Smile

Talk more sooner or later with you all!

Hi and welcome. So as far as I know the yellow caapi is one of the more mild introductory vines that provides life-changing insight and sometimes invokes animal spirits where as the red caapi is used by the shaman and takes the user much deeper into themselves even showing duality (which, FYI, can mess a person up if they are not prepared). I am not entirely certain on the black and white, perhaps someone else here has had more "experience" with them? I hope this helps at least a little for you Smile

Awww... well thank you.

I was sure the yellow was for beginners, and the red I know is something Terrance McKenna was fond of so I know it was something special for sure hee hee

The white is a very pleasant experience as I've used it for a year... but I am now trying to understand what the black is all about as I have some now but I am curious as to what the strengths are and why it is used by shamans according to this one site (a different site from this one mind you) hee hee Smile

Thank you very much for your input though. I appreciate it Pleased
