Greetings. I am a 21 year old biochemistry student seeking to understand the nature of consciousness. I didn't used to be this way. In high school I was an egotistical jerk who had contempt for others who I deemed beneath me. All of that dissolved the day I first tried LSD. Through careful introspection, I realized that the hate I gave to others was a reflection of the hate I had for myself. I experienced ego death, and it was absolutely beautiful. In fact, I had to take a picture of myself after the experience, because I had forgotten what I looked like! LSD opened my mind to this other mode of consciousness, and I am forever grateful for the experience.
Since that day, I've always been curious about death and consciousness, and this led me to DMT. I was fortunate enough to be able to try it in the form of Aya, and I must say that the experience, though mild, was powerful enough to teach me that death isn't the worst of evils, and can even be quite peaceful (in looking back on it, I think I ingested too much MAOI and had serotonin syndrome, but I made it out OK).
Getting a degree in biochemistry was no flippant choice. I wish to research and discuss my findings with other like minded individuals, and this is what brought me to DMT-Nexus. I am looking to have open and honest discussions with other chemists in an attempt to make DMT more accessible and accepted in mainstream society.

Welcome to the Nexus Centromere. ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) Have you over considered vaping freebase spice? Look forward to learning with you in the future. "Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistant one"-Albert Einstein

Look forward to learning with you in the future. I've tried it, but it didn't work.

Didn't work??? WEll.... I think mabye you had perhaps give it another go eh????? I use I have taken HIGH dose of LSD more than 100 times.... it just does not compare to DMT And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not percieve the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, "brother let me remove the speck from your eye", when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye?-Yeshua ben Yoseph

Do you mean that DMT > LSD?

Quote:I think I ingested too much MAOI and had serotonin syndrome Usually, people do not take enough caapi at all. How many g did you use? Moreover, have you ingested any other drug before? Because ayahuasca alone does not cause serotonin syndrom. As to vaping freebase, make sure you do not burn it. Search the forum and the wiki, there is tons of advice for you to discover. Looking foreward to reading more..welcome to the nexus!

I am actually looking to get access to post in the advanced chemistry forum so I can begin brainstorming a synthesis route I had in mind. I don't know who to contact about that though.

Welcome, centromere. We don't actually discuss synthesis here, though. DMT is plenty accessible to all who choose to do the homework and learn the relatively easy task of extracting from a biological source.
Hang out for awhile. You'll be promoted to a full membership soon enough, I'm sure. Always good to have more chemists in the house.

Hi centromere, Welcome to the Nexus. I am bumping this essay because it is over six months old, centromere has close to 20 posts and I did think maybe it was time to re-consider him for promotion. It's not that I know him that well, but he seemed like a gentleman in chat and a very reasonable person. I suspect he somehow kind of fell between the cracks between the old promotion system and the new. Not really sure. So, folks, for your (re)consideration, centromere for promotion centromere, you seem to be navigating this place quite well. I'd love to see you become more active - post more, feel free to join us in chat again, etc. Again, welcome to the Nexus. ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment.
