I am unclear on exactly how a MAOI works in for form of caapi leaf when it is smoked.

Is it similar to DMT in the way that you must take the most into your system in the shortest amount of time, or can you puff on it slowly for compounded effects? Would it be just as beneficial to smoke an equal amount of harmelas in regular caapi leaf as it would if the same amount of harmelas were consumed from 10x caapi leaf? I've noticed the 10x caapi doesn't burn as well.

Is one able to smoke the caapi 5-10 mins before smoking FB DMT or enhanced leaf (w/o caapi or any other MAOI) and still achieve the same results as smoking changa?

Is there a certain amount of harmelas consumed that will allow for maximum MAO inhibition. If so, how much would need to be smoked until smoking more will have no more of a MAOI effect? (mg harmelas / grams of caapi leaf)

If the effects of smoking caapi are compounded shouldn't each successive toke of changa be more potent than the last?

Sorry for all the questions I've looked around but these remain unanswered. Thanks in advance.

The effects you get from smoking caapi arent necessarily from MAO inhibition, so when you're smoking caapi/harmalas you arent just looking to find the full MAO inhibition level. Harmalas can act on glutamate which might be related to potentiation.

Some people love smoking a big quantity, others find it too heavy and that it fogs the dmt experience.

Just make different batches and experiment and let us know what works best for you, there is no set way for everybody.
