After botching an attempt to make San Pedro powder, I soaked blended cactus in vinegar and water and reduced and strained until I had a volume I could work with. I then basified with NaOH and added D-Limonene, which I then salted with vinegar and am currently dehydrating. I seem to have managed to recover some mescaline acetate, but I was wondering the following: if I already soaked the cactus juice in vinegar and created mescaline acetate and then basified per Marsofold's Tek for DMT, would I have ended up with mescaline freebase in the D-Limonene solvent layer? If so, is adding vinegar creating mescaline acetate? Here is an image of my mixture:

yeah, yes, and likely yup, but
looks like too much acid was used for the amount of alkaloids present...
likely still usable, but account for lots of impurity when dosing
