Does anyone have any recommendations? :sun:

Spiritual movies, thrillers, religious, comedy, whatever you think helped you out. nOt looking for any thing dark or mind fucking now, well as long as it has a happy ending a bit of drama is aight i guess lol

Just a movie that will help me get a grip on what life is about, or how to cope i don't know maybe you get what i'm saying and have better words than what im saying i'm looking for..

Just going on quitting smoking for my second week now, and stuff hasnt been too peachy in all other areas of my life either.

I know i just need to listen to my heart, but i feel scattered/confused right now due to withdrawls.

So i guess just go with what you FEEL would be the best top 5 or 10 movies for me to watch tonight.

BIg Thanks for reading and taking the time so i don't have to see any shrinks.:heart:

"Brazil". Funny, quirky, deep but not too dark - think Orwell crossed with Monty Python.

Good luck and don't give in!

JBArk
JBArk is a Mandelthought; a non-fiction character in a drama of his own design he calls "LIFE" who partakes in consciousness expanding activities and substances; he should in no way be confused with SWIM, who is an eminently data-mineable and prolific character who has somehow convinced himself the target he wears on his forehead is actually a shield.

Check out "The Mission" (if you haven't seen it) - about a group of Jesuit missionaries in 18th century South America.

have you ever taken that ferry from San Francisco to Berkeley and looked back and seen that while in Berkeley, San Francisco doesn't exist?

No one else found the title of this thread hilarious? A movie as a psychologist. Laughing
Sure movies can inspire, but I personally would never take it any further than that conceptually.

Jodorowsky's the Holy Mountain really helped me through the worst of a bad break-up. The scene with the ship and the 'monster' in particular. Could definitely see that helping with quitting smoking, and also just an amazing film generally...

The Holy Mountain definitely is one of those movies anyone who is interested in spirituality and has a taste for artsy stuff should watch. Jodorowsky's El Topo is also a very powerful movie. His sci-fi comic books are also interesting although they are a bit less metaphorical and have more entertaining and narrative dimensions.

The Fountain is also a movie that touched me deeply and that helped me understand my relation with death and love a bit more.
