I have some that I extracted sitting in a bowl in the freezer and I noticed that it is so sticky. So let's say I wanted to take some of it and put in on the scale to measure out a dose. What tool do you guys use to move it from the bowl to the scale and then get it off the scale into your GVG?

Is there a way to make it less sticky?

Well, I did a STB extaction. Bark, lye, naptha, freezer. I think it came out really well. The crystal where white when I pulled it out of the freezer. But after scraping them up, they are a little yellow.

I mean, maybe the question I am asking doesn't make sense because DMT is suppose to be sticky and you just have to deal with it.

when mines fully dried some will still stick to a razor, but not much really.. any thing straight edged like that works, even any type of card in a wallet will do. Just use a razor to plop the spice onto some larger, flat card/surface..(even some paper will work)

To get rid of most of the yellowness and accompanying stickiness you can always try a few recrystalisations. I usually do STB's too but I do an inordinate amount of re-x'ing to get it as white as possible. The sticky//yellow/gooyeness is a result of oils and fats that came over to the non polar and those are things you don't want to smoke. But that's just my opinion, others will say differently I guess.

Also, make absolutely sure that there is no trace of your solvent in the spice left when you try to smoke it. Bad shit, not my opinion but fact. Give it ample time to dry out. Chop it up and lay it out over a plate or glass dish and let it sit somewhere safe for a day and a night to fully evaporate.

Yeah, that is what I am talking about. I used a razor and some of it sticks to the edge and you have to scrape it off.

No, you take a minute amount of solvent (heptane is said to work best, but naphta does the trick also) warm it up and dissolve your fresh, first draft dmt in it. Subsequently, when it cools the crap drops out first due to solubility issues. You can then decant while making sure the gunk stays in the container. Then freeze precip again and recommence procedure if you wish.

Since my extractions weren't dealing with a large amount I used an X-acto blade and ID card to scrape my precipitation container, and gently poured onto a piece of paper that I could funnel the DMT into my jar. When I load the pipe I use a folded joint wrap in a similar fashion to shovel the DMT into the bowl. Works like a charm, and nothing really sticks to paper after one re-x.

Makes sense, I will give the paper trick a try. That is what I was looking for. Thanks.
