Hi all,

Well, where to start? I've been a member here for a few years now, so there's already an intro essay from me lurking somewhere; but I felt it'd be better to write one that is more a reflection of the here and now (so to speak!).

So, I'll tell you where I first heard about the molecule: While I was in my first year at uni (enjoying lazy days, too much spare cash and a zealous appetite for ganj) a good pal told me of a friend of a friend of his who'd smoked the xtal and on re-entry had the distinct realisation he needed to sell everything he owned and move to Amsterdam. I was intrigued. Though fortunately (with hindsight) for some reason it slipped off my radar up until I started reading about Aya a few years ago - a good example of when you're ready, you're ready?

Today I'm in the position to start working the sacred molecule (have own place, safe environment etc) and plan to embark on the journey (of all journey's?) sooner rather than later. "Why?" is a prudent question - in short - to learn, to heal, to grow - to whatever comes my way.

Having said that, there's still a few things to iron out here in 3D before I begin; Certain issues, like - stopping smoking and knockin' my fizzy drinks addiction on the head Very happy I guess it just feels like in order to learn and grown with the help of the molecule, I should really sort some of the basic problems out first - that way I show a commitment to the processes and energies involved, but also a commitment to myself.

So, that's where I'm at really Smile

Thanks,

Drob

Welcome 2.0 Drob! I can certainly relate with the notion of needing to iron some things out about taking the plunge. I haven't yet taken a really deep dive since I did my first extraction a few months ago, just been taking my time for now, re-evaluating some things in my life also and keeping up with the day to day. Even just doing sub-threshold doses I really agree that things that seem to be good for you in whole will be good for the dmt experience. One of the things that first restrained my curiosity was the discomfort of trying to take long sequential hits, since I was a fairly heavy smoker at the time. Among other things, I really do see DMT and other tryptamines as an incentive towards healthy body, mind, and soul; since you get out what ya put in.
The only hell for a warrior is peace.

The warm fuzzy side of the cold hard truth.
