So after much delay i finally received my new gvg (this was sometime ago now)..

I didnt have the chance to use it for a while but when I brought it out to use it for the first time I noticed it was cracked, wow bummer. So i emailed VG 3 weeks ago and they said they would send a replacement and a postage paid, and I was pleasantly pleased with this seemingly great customer service.

...I waited over a week and nothing, when i had made my order it arrived in 4 days and it was even over the weekend (sent friday, arrived monday)... A few days later I emailed them to no reply. It has been 2 weeks since that email and I have still heard nothing back and received no replacement. I sent them another email the other day to which i recieved no reply.

Im trying to be patient but this is kind of frustrating .. So i am just wondering if anyone has had any contact with VG staff at all recently? Perhaps it is just not me who they are not returning emails to? ... Any other advice would be appreciated too (Im thinking about asking for their phone number)?

Try to get their phone number, that should solve the problem.

Really only a lame person won't reply to a mail if it's read. Bummers, just call them.

I just asked them via their online question dealio what their phone number was .. Im assuming I wont get a reply til monday but Ill be sure to update.

I don't think there's much we can due about it here. The Nexus does not make nor distribute the GVG. Just give them a call and be patient. Pleased

Shocked nooo? haha sorry ... I know this .. I thought I would just share my experience / see if anyone else has been in contact lately. That is all ..

So after asking for their phone number I received no reply for 3 days..

When they did reply the respondent indicated that they had spoke with the boss last week (yet neglected to email me?), would be shipping the replacement out in the next few days and I would then receive a shipping notice.

I received no shipping notice but yesterday (to my surprise) I found a replacement GVG in my mailbox. It arrived in perfect condition and I wrote a thank you email to VG staff.

I am pleased that they corrected the issue, however I am not overly impressed with the quality of service that I was provided. Though this is just my experience ..

glad to see that worked out for you and that even though it was a little bit of hassle they still held up their end of the deal.

I think if i would encounter something like that with a European store they would insist on me sending the broken device back, not to be heard of for weeks. Tons of emails about it later and no replies i would finally receive a mail "you have to pay postage for your new device" or something totally lame like that.

Unfortunately that seems to be the story of my life when it comes to dead on arrival devices.
