Well this was an interesting experience to say the least that turned into a quasi-experiment. I took two full milky rips from the GVG as holograms began to flood my open-eyed space. Now usually, around when this starts happening, I close my eyes, but this time I decided to leave my eyes open. I also decided to take it one step further. I would not allow my eyes to shut, not once, not for an instant, not to blink. I became curious to see what would happen if the hologram were subjected to pure open eyes throughout the entire course of the experience. Some very interesting things happened. So first of all, the main hologram in front of me was this cat walking from left to right surrounded by some imagery that was sort of like picket fences. There was an ancient flavor to it. As my eyes remained open, the hologram became more and more complex. As you could imagine, my eyes were drying up and became desperate to blink or shut, but I was absolutely hell bent on not blinking. It developed into quite the physical struggle and battle of will power. The interesting thing was that it was really only my left eye that was going crazy. It began quickly spinning in its socket, generating a crystal tear drop each time it begged to blink. Each time it would try to blink, it would be like the hologram would try to re-buffer itself, and fail. As a result, the hologram would get more and more abstract, energetic and fretful. By the time I was done with it, this holographic cat was bizarrely scattered throughout my room. It became harder and harder to resist blinking, but I became more and more resilient. I had my eyes peeled back as far as they would go, gripping the covers on my bed and rocking as I struggled to achieve my goal, all with tears steaming out of my left eye. The fact that this was happening to the left eye was curious to me. I began to wonder if it suggested if there is some kind of "buffer" mechanism that works from left to right, and in approaching the experience in a somewhat silly way, that this mechanism was made more apparent. Well, in any case, after about 5 minutes or so, I finally conceded as I allowed my eyes to snap shut. This was perhaps where I received the biggest surprise; when my eyes finally closed, the biggest wave of relaxation washed over me. I became engulfed in warm, nourishing energy as green and red fractals moved in to embrace me. It was like a lifetime's worth of relief. Sure, I've experienced comforts on DMT, but this sense of utter relaxing was completely out of left field. I felt extremely grateful for this oddball experience, and will definitely try something similar again to see how this experiment unfolds with a second take. "Science without religion is lame. Open eye visuals on proper doses can indeed be as interesting as closed eye visuals... I really find it weird how sometimes the room remains the same, but couple items in the room become totally alien and start to "live".

yeah man hyperspace is really bizarre..i remember one sub-breakthrough during the day where the room was swirling around like a tornado. for some reason i blurted out "STOP".. everything actually stopped moving and it was like the energy was converted into a massive body load..lol
<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I know so many around here seem to like dim lighting, but I actually enjoy relative brightness the most. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

I often sit with eyes open when journeying, it is very interesting, elements of the room become part of it, and as Mr. Tele says, elements of the room seem to burst into life. I have had occasions where parts of the room actually swap places or rapidly grow and shrink and warp and fizzle out of existence only to pop up somewhere else ![Shocked](/forum/images/emoticons/shock.png) On higher doses the room just completely replaces itself which can be quite unnerving. I find when opening my eyes half way through a trip, what ever I was experiencing behind closed eyes super imposes itself with the room, or begins to meld with the room. I can totally understand why people choose to keep their eyes closed during their journeys, but for me curiosity usually takes over and I find myself in a completely transformed version of my living room Lose Control, Free My Soul, Break Me Open, Make Me Whole."DMT kicked my balls off" - od3

Purges: Yeah I like to combine the two, sometimes about 50/50 closed and open eyes. On couple occasions the transition to hyperspace was so powerful(well isn't it always) that I actually had to open my eyes just to try to get a bit relief. And it's also interesting how the possible entities can be seen in the room after opening the eyes, altough they often vanish rather quickly when compared to closed eyes. But it's certainly interesting to see "alien beings" in your room

i can never bring myself to keep my eyes open, no matter how many times i have made the transition, i always feel like im missing the point if i sit and look around my room, so i dont ![Wink](/forum/images/emoticons/wink.png) . I can understand it if you have created a specific place to journey, a DMT room if you like, or if you are outside in a beautiful place but sitting in my room i always know it would be better with my eyes closed. INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

I've had numerous open eyed experiences. They really can be fascinating and interactive. If I focus on the ceiling, holograms will usually accumulate on the ceiling until they descend in layers throughout the room. I find it fascinating how I can see the hologram both touching the ceiling (or wall or whatever I'm looking at), right at my face and also numerous points in between simultaneously. It's a subtle aesthetic that gets me every time. Often times, if the experience isn't really interesting or going anywhere, I'll just open my eyes so hopefully the holograms will start to manifest. I've had numerous experiences of just eyes open, but this one was unique in not allowing even the slightest blink to close them for even an instant. "Science without religion is lame. The open eye experience is soemthing familiar to most DMT users. The non-blinking isn't. This is a very interesting experiment Global, very inspiring again. Smell like tea n,n spirit !

First, kudos to you Global, discipline is essential when unfolding space ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) Secondly: 3rdI wrote:i can never bring myself to keep my eyes open, no matter how many times i have made the transition, i always feel like im missing the point if i sit and look around my room, so i dont ![Wink](/forum/images/emoticons/wink.png) . Then you're not taking enough ![Smile](/forum/images/emoticons/smile.png) A sub-breakthrough dose for me is when I "need" to close my eyes to have a worthy visual experience, something I never wish for these days and this is why I persist at the 60-80mg range. Being aware of your bodily movements in the ordinary world just feels "fake", like a kindergarden experience, you can't even grasp the fundamentals of the actual teaching, it's just childsplay. If you take enough medicine, you'll be in these places and not merely look at them. Mad, bad and dangerous to know.
There's magic out there!
