I was wondering, since acetone floats on water shouldnt it be able to pull your alkaloids up out of an alkaline solution (sodium carbonate, boiled plant matter) and be able to use a turkey baster to get it out and evaporate. im afraid of using naptha and lye and im pretty content using acetone ive used it to make hash many times... has anyone ever thought about this or tried it?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

acetone doesnt float on water, acetone mixes with water.... If you do a paste with sodium carbonate and mimosa with a bit of water, let that completely dry and then pull with acetone, you'll get some goo which can be further cleaned up if you have fumaric acid (redissolve in acetone, FASA, filter, rebase as a paste, re pull, etc.. repeat this a couple of times and it gets purer).. I did a test extraction like this recently and Ive had some limited success, the product didnt get very pure but probably smokable... Its pretty wasteful in terms of acetone though I think...

Chacha doesnt have acetone, then.... Acetone is miscible in water, just look up anywhere.
