normally i consider the 30 minutes or so after my return from hyperspace one of my favorite parts of the experience... a few serene moments after the roller coaster of space suits me just fine... until tonight...

i've spent the best part of a month figuring out the extraction process, trying different techniques & solvents, dialing in my end result... & i think i did a damn fine job... filled my litte jar (which i have kept magical things in since Jerry Garcia was alive) with 10 grams of spice & figured i was done extracting for at least a little bit... sent all the equipment & supplies to my own little hidey-hole & invited a few friends over for a group session... let me rephrase that... i invited a few "friends" over for a group session... Bri & Tiff, Chink & Ses, & Laura, who i've been sort of seeing off & on for the last month or so...

i rolled us 3 joints with 150mg of spice on each... lit them all at once, sent 'em around the room... i like this approach, everybody gets enough quick enough, & there's usually 3 half doobs left when we return... usually... this time there were no half doobs left when we got back... & Laura, she wasn't there either... neither was my jar or my 10 grams of spice...

i am normally a very peaceful character, but right now i'd damn near murder children to get at that woman... so i'll be locked in my house with the phone off until i can calm myself down a little... this is NOT the trip i signed up for...

I can imagine the frustration there. Hope you can get that back peacefully. But at least now you know that what you thought were your friends were't. Time to learn to better judge that.

i'm gonna just let it pass, most likely... the best way to avoid a conflict is, well, to just avoid the conflict... pisses me off to no end though... my 40th birthday is in 2 weeks, & that little jar was going to play a fairly major role in those festivities... no man in my family has made that milestone in 150 years, so i plan on doin' it up right...

now, where's that xylene?.. looks like its time to dive into the left-over soup & figure out what this jungle spice is all about...

thats the price you pay to learn you can't trust her, or that you know now to trust that she will be that way. life is perfect for everyone is it not?

Damn man. So so sad.
I applaud your calm reaction to this. I would have been a lot more ruffled.

Best of luck, jungle spice is really nice Smile

as it settles in, i'm actually more upset about the jar than the contents... the spice, i can do that again... but my little jar, that thing had mileage...

I'm really sorry to hear that man Sad Having your trust abused in that way, especially involving something which is highly precious to you, is truly awful and will mostly likely take some time to accept. However, the Buddhist in the back of my brain points to this as a potential lesson in relinquishing attachments. I know that you loved that jar, and I'm sure it served as a physical manifestation for many profound experiences over the course of your life, but it's loss does not mean the loss of those experiences. Try to accept the transient nature of your experience and keep breathing. The lessons take many forms. I'll be sending some positive vibes your way friend.

"Becoming a person of the plants is not a learning process, it is a remembering process. Somewhere in our ancestral line, there was someone that lived deeply connected to the Earth, the Elements, the Sun, Moon and Stars. That ancestor lives inside our DNA, dormant, unexpressed, waiting to be remembered and brought back to life to show us the true nature of our indigenous soul" - Sajah Popham.

thank you for that xantho.

it's funny... if we were at a bar, having a conversation about such things, i'd say that the only possessions in my life that matter to me are my guitar & my Wiemaraner (although Delilah can't really count as a possession.).. i've said such many, many times... but then i lose a little jar, & realize i'm more materially grounded than i thought... always room for growth, i guess...

Let it go and grow I think....grow from the experience. It was probably worth the cost to know who your real friends are anyway.
10 grams seems like a lot but compare it to so many other things in life that would have been WAY more expensive.
Karma is a bitch and will bite her back for it anyway.

Peace

i noticed who my friends are when they call you up only when they want something. those arent friends!
I gave $20 one time just for the heck of it to one of those types of so called friends to basically get rid of him. when he would call, I would ask for my money. he just never called again. $20 to lose a moocher! sounds good to me!

lol... I think I saw that approach stated in a movie recently...the movie about horse racing? Can't think of the name.
That's a really good plan to get rid of moochers who really aren't your friends anyway. Well worth the 20 bucks I agree.

Wow, that's pretty messed up man. It blows my mind thinking about how people can disrespect and betray people who show kindness to them...

Fortunately, what goes around comes around. So she will get hers some day.

yea it sucks because she will probably be incredibly irresponsible with it.
haha I would say to anonymously tip the authorities but that is potentially damaging to the whole dmt community, so maybe not a good idea.
That is such BS though, and personally I would not let her get away with that.
The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others--the living--are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between now and later - HST

i'm kind of blown away now... as you can imagine, i was sorta down in ze dumps over this... well, the friends i have that are genuine, they are the best people i could ever care to know... without getting violent or making threats, they convinced my other "friend" that it would be her best move to return my stash to me... was it light when i got it back?.. of course it was... but i got it back... & i've made a changa with it & tonight we'll meditate for a while on the value of a full circle before consulting with the elves... every day this side of the dirt is a good one, but some of 'em just plain rock...Smile

I'm so happy to hear that things turned around for you. It was looking pretty grim. Get it back in time for your birthday I hope? You may have lost some spice in the process, but I'm sure you'll value it all the more now.

You are a better man than I. <3

Though, is it even remotely possible that you could giver her a call and simply ask for it back? Not that it's super likely that she'd still have it, but maybe it's worth a shot? Sometimes people are more stupid than ill-willed, and a kind word or appeal is all that is needed to show them their better nature...

Either way, happy trails man. Have a great birthday, and congratulations on your extraction!
