Was wondering how common experiencing nausea after vaping a substantial size dose?

Also if anyone uses the GVG, was curious about torch lighter useage........sounds like you should not be concerned with hitting the cermic filter in the GVG directly and continuously during your full dose single inhalation.................
Any feedback, opinion, etc.......
thanks

Yeah, that's pretty much it. There seems to be two general circumstances for which smoked DMT creates nausea (when taken alone). The first is with large doses, and the other is with burnt doses. The thing is too that the more you load up, it seems you may run a risk of burning it more, especially if it's piled high. The good news is that personally in my experience, if you do get this kind of nausea from the DMT, it usually subsides once the intense part of the experience has subsided, so you don't have to worry about being sick as a dog all day, cause it'll only probably be for a few minutes tops.

You'll want to have the flame a couple inches directly above the ceramic filter while the DMT is filling the pipe. I would keep it relatively close at least until a thick stream of vapor is filling the GVG at which point you can back off and continue to pull/clear it. I think this point is really more of an important one in the case that the DMT is very harsh on your lungs, so you'd wanna back off on the heat, but if the harshness isn't impairing your ability to take the full dose in a hit, then this shouldn't really be as much of an issue. It's something you'll probably wanna do a little experimentation with to find out what works best. Using the GVG is a learning process in itself and it gets easier and more efficient with time and practice.

If your spice is all good and your technique is down it could be just be "cybersickness".

Some people are more proned to this then others it seems, you can read about it here, cybersickness

as suggested there, if your prone to this sort of thing, try some ginger root, or gravol makes some natural motion sickness tablets, they are a ginger extract.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their responses.

It is all very good info.

Perhaps it was an isolated incident with the nausea.

I think I hadn't eaten all day, which probably didn't help.

Don't think eating just prior to journeying is the right answer, but perhaps a little something from several hours earlier, just so you don't have a gnawing pit in your stomach from being empty before delving in.

Namaste
