Hey Nexus,

Glad I found this place, it's so damn interesting it could be collectively published as an epic novel (I'm sure Tom Clancy would gladly lend his name to it!)

Anyway,
I'm on Parnate (Tranycypromine) 120mg a day and it's a nonselective MAOI (not a RIMA like harmaline or mannerix). Can I safely take oral DMT? If so what dose should I start out with (40-50 mg [only 5 times] to get a smoked breakthrough) and what should I be expecting that's different from Vaped? Could this be like aya/pharmahuasca or is b.caapi a consciousness whereas MAOI via Parnate would be a non-guiding, dead chemical?

Thanks,

Eric

Tranylcypromines an interesting compound with more effect on MAO-B than A, plus its an irreversible inhibitor of both so its action on both subtypes will be longer. It also has other effects including increased norepeinephrine and dopamine release, although its effects are variable particularly on norepinephrines and epinephrines actions. It increases the effects of dopamine and serotonin by increasing the levels AND function more predictably. Its less than straightforward pharmacological profile means its not the agent of choice for activating oral DMT and its effects are not clearly predictable.IMO, this makes it a risky agent to use.

May I ask why you are taking it?
I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.
