SWIM recently has done studies with Anticholinergic, powerful MAOI of it's own right. Unknown to give the reversibility that Harmalines give problematically. most commonly from Datura species Caapi, Rue, Tobacco & the Passion flower most noted to contain harmines In the end we will conserve only what we love. Agree with 'Coatl. Cocoa has proven antidepressant activity that is attributed to MAOI containing substances. I have no idea how much cocoa one would have to ingest to get sufficient MAO inhibition effects, especially when it for instance wants to feel effects from orally administered dmt. St. John's Wort also has MAOIs, it is even prescribed from herbalists as a treatment for mild depression. It is the herb of choice for some depressive people and a few swear by it. As to the nature of the substances responsible for the MAOI activity I do not really know much. To the best of my knowledge however they do not contain the famous from aya brews beta-carbolines. Passiflora on the other hand does, (i.e. it has harmine and harmaline) but in low amounts. Need to calculate between salts and freebases? Click here! What's the MAOI in cocoa? Can anyone give a web reference? Is it the theobromine? You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

I knew it had anandamide, but was unaware of the MAO-B phenylethylamine; deprenyl maybe? Found in the notorious 2C-B. http://www.cacaoweb.net/nutrition.html

Deprenyl is found in that family, and is not sure but understands that beta inhibitors being irreversible cannot metabolize tryptamines. Maybe a larger dose could inhibit its alpha?
