i dont have a scale and i need to measure out 3 grams of rue. anybody know how to do so with measuring spoons or a measuring cup marked with ml's? And if so, weather or not to measure it as whole seeds or ground to a powder? Thanks then finally we opened the box
we couldn't find any rules

I agree with you completely, the thing is, i have some rue and mimosa sitting in a treasure chest, calling my name. and i wont be able to afford a scale for awhile then finally we opened the box

In the long run, you should DEFINITELY get a scale.. The difference between 2-6g rue (or between, say, 3 to 9g mimosa) is very big in terms of effects, and it might make the difference between just enough alkaloids, to a very high dose and unpleasant trip... and regarding rue, I just measured and my teaspoon ( teaspoon, not normal spoon) was around 2-4g rue depending on how much I filled it... so a teaspoon should be around a dose of rue. It might be your teaspoon is bigger, or smaller... Definitely dont take more than a teaspoon of rue. And please, buy a scale, it will be very useful ! You can get some quite good ones for 30 bucks.

Thank you. I have measuring spoons for cooking, so I imagine if i fill the teaspoon flat and even with the rim of the spoon, that would be pretty close to 3 grams based on what you told me. And yes i will definitely get a scale as soon as possible. Only question is, did you measure the rue seeds in the spoon as whole seeds or ground to a powder? then finally we opened the box

Patience is a virtue so get a scale (when possible) and be safe! Not that a gram or two extra rue is going to kill you but you'll probably regret an overdose when praying to the porcelain gods. There also seems to be an error in your opening post. You have mistakenly used the word "need" for the word "want".
