I did q21q21's tek with a french press... This caused some brown drops and some water to get into the solvent. I managed to get most pure solvent separated with turkey baster, but how can I get the last bit of solvent saved, so to remove the water and the brown drops(water with mhrb mixture).
thanks!

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

What solvent? Water should go to the bottom. Simply letting it decant for a few hours or a day or so, should get impurities and water go to the bottom, then you can easily decant away.

You can also filter your solvent in a funnel with cotton filter, this will help mostly with impurities but not really so with water (unless you previously decanted it away from water on the bottom). Make sure the funnel material is compatible with the solvent.

Oh and, I recommend washing your solvent with sodium carb solution if you have brown from mimosa mixture, before doing this decanting story...

Basically the sodium carbonate wash separation will also take care to remove the water, too, so I might just as well do the wash and forget about all else?

yeah but after you shake/stir, there might be some droplets of the sodium carb water on the sides of the container. It isnt the end of the world, it will be tiny amounts.. but anyways you can always just let it stand for a while, and anywhere between some minutes and a day or so, it should all go to the bottom, and this can be easily pipetted/decanted out.

Droplets are ok, as after they freeze, they are easily absorbed into a piece of paper after taking the dish out from the freezer.

Thanks for your help brother and happy new year

The wiki says use 100ml of water with s. carbonate, but I suppose it will be fine if one does it with 50ml? It would be easier with my container...
