This site is really amazing

I've just finished my third reading of her massively bulky, very whitty, gripingly objective and scientific posts.

A few of the things mentioned, and statistically demonstrated include:
-Only vegetarians that take on vegetarian-type health conscious habits are healthier than carnivores, those that do not have thicker arteries and a half dozen other negative health indications.
-There is absolutely no correlation between cholesterol and heart disease, period.
-Wheat does seem to be correlated with heart disease significantly, even when taking into account dozens of other lifestyle and dietary factors.

Just off the top of my head

I hope you guys enjoy this blog as much as I do and also does anyone know of any other resources that are so beautifully objective and scientific please share!
Q21Q21's Tek: A comprehensive guide to extracting DMT
The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

I am almost never on this site anymore so I will likely not answer PMs

what is a "vegetarian type health concern"? Sounds like an ambiguous term someone sort of made up to me. What about "carnivoire type health concerns"?

to claim that "Only vegetarians that take on vegetarian-type health conscious habits are healthier than carnivores" makes little objective sense. Why does she highlight vegetarian dietary concerns while not adressing the many deficiencies in a typical american carnivore diet?..where the hell do these people get the required ammounts of vit C is one. These claims are biased becasue it presents the issue as like one vs the other, when in reality it is not like that at all. "vegetarian" can mean so many diff things, and so can "carnivoire".

Has this woman ever read the China Study? edit..nm I see she has..and while the china study is not entirely conclusive, most of it's critics overemphasize in reguards to it's shortcomming while passing over alot of the real info that was found in the study. I am quite confidant after all the research I have done, and based on my own personal experience with a debilitating disease and then recovering with diet that meat and dairy are NOT the best foods for humans. However, I am sure there are some very clean carniverous diets that are better than super junky vegetarian diets of tofu dogs and fries etc..

Some other stuff on the site looks interesting though. I just dont buy into these simlified claims.

Vegetarinas eat diary though, so I can imagine they are not as healthy as vegans..and I agree, alot of vegetarian diets are complete crap and they live on junk food.

Do you know who Daniel Vitalis is q21? You might like him. I dont agree with everything he says but he is one of my fav guys who talks about diets..he is really into wild meat and grass fed organic milk and avoiding too much hybrid fruits etc..

I dunno about those claims though from that site about there being no link between cholesterol and heart disease. Just becasue one person says something or pulls up some random study does not mean it is the truth. Diff people have diff agendas and there is just as much evidence against what she is saying as far as I am concerned as there is to support what she is saying.
Long live the unwoke.

I have some very simple advice with regards to
makig up your mind about the merits or lack thereof of
being a vegetarian. In fact I believe this is in the ONLY
way to really know. Because let's face it you can find
dietitians online that will praise vegetarianism and you will
also find dietitians that will abhor it. Why the difference in
opinion of the so-called experts?

The truth is actually quite easy to arrive at when you test it for
yourself and quit listening to 'experts'

Step 1: Eat a normal meat based meal and write down how you feel.

Step 2: 30 Day's no meat. (yes you need 30 day's..you gotta get passed the craving for meat)

Step 3: Write down how you feel

Step 4: Eat the same meal you eat to start this experiment.

Step 5: How do you feel now?

I was a die hard meat eater. I used to make fun of the 'stupid vegetarian hippies'.
Then one year for new years I decided I would try it for 1 month.

I eat a balanced diet both now and then.
Hands down I feel way WAY WAY better with
the bulk of meat cut out of my diet.
I probably eat meat 1-2 a month at most now and then only light portions.

BTW I have seen this woman's blog before. I'm not a huge fan of it personally.
I think she does a good job at presenting the illusion of research, but in
the end I think she just searches out what she wants to find...
If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

If you want to see how much a diet can change a person check out what has happened to Bill Clinton since he has become a vegan. He actually is reversing the damage to his heart from years of shitty eating.

Becoming vegan is really popular among big players and CEO's now because of its obvious real world benefits.

I imagine it is much easier to be a strict vegan when you have a personal chef, however.

Personally, I'm working on cutting my meat intake but I find it rather difficult. One day at a time! Smile

Went vegan over a year ago. Slowly lost 20 pounds without trying and I feel great. I thank spice for revealing something inside that brought this intention out from hiding. Couldn't give a reason for it at the time - but knew it was a done deal. Retrospectively, I find many reasons - which just brings a sense of alignment. To each their own - but it cant hurt to try the experiment above - it might change your life.

I would just like to say that the points mentioned in the first post, are q21q21's interpretation of the blog posts and not actually quotes.

Can you explain what made you believe she has a hidden agenda ?

Reason she has an agenda: she blogs about food and a specific type of diet. This is silly because the same diet doesn't work for all of us. I suppose she could just be misguided.

That makes your diet PROFOUNDLY different from that of a strict vegan: you will probably get somewhere near adequate B12 from that regimen--a strict vegan wouldn't from his diet.

proto-pax, from my readings I would have to say that I don't agree about her blogging about a particular kind of diet since the blog is mostly about studies, her past and some random pieces. Her diet is mostly raw, the bulk being raw fruits and vegetables.

She agrees with your point about specific diets:

"In part 1 of this โ€œoptimal human dietโ€ series, I mentioned that there is no single, exact diet that will deliver perfect health for everyone".

I'm hyped for her book.

I started transitioning to a raw plant-based diet about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't expecting any results so quickly, but I'm definately feeling a positive change.

I haven't strictly cut out meat, although so far I haven't been eating it. Never been a "Meat is mandatory" kind of guy anyway as I find it a bit plain of flavour. Mainly I'm out and out avoiding dairy and wheat, eating lots of greens, a few nuts and sprouted seeds here and there and I'm snacking a lot on fruit. I have a morning supercharged shake with bee-pollen and macca among fruits and greens. I'm drinking mainly water and a couple of glasses of juice a day.

So anyway through the winter I haven't been running. I started a new job in november after about 3 years of being pretty much unemployed, so I was finding the working habbit quite fatiguing. Last thursday I went for a run. Even though I'd not been training or doing any exercise of any kind between that and my last run about a month ago, it took me much longer to feel out of breath, my heart beat was more regular, I was more calm, alert and it only took me a very short amount of time resting to get my heart beat to resting pace and get my breathing down.

There is definately a very obvious reason why more and more people are switching to this diet. Most people who would call themselves vegan/vegetarian more often than not, choose their diet from a moral agenda. People choose a non-dairy/wheat/processed/packaged foods diet for the ultimate fine tuning of their health. There is so much testimony online from people who have had these eating habits for many years and... well they look pretty damn good.

Anyway, I'll certainly be sticking to my raw diet for now. The best part is for the first time since I was 15 (I'm 27) I'm getting to sleep so easily and waking up with my alarm, feeling fresh and only sleeping about 2/3 my regular duration.

I'm spending a lot of my evenings researching what I need to be eating, finding good books to read and learning about correct preparation for most efficent digestion. It's pretty damn good being passionate about your health Smile

What is annoying is seiving through all the douche-bags trying to make $$$ out of telling you how to eat raw carrot's when I'ma googlin' for some honest information Sad
