Hello everyone, now that I'm allowed to post everywhere I have a question for those of you experienced with jungle spice. From reading the posts in this forum it is my understanding that jungle spice is mostly dmt with potentially unknown compounds. Jungle spice is a product created by using xylene as a solvent after the initial naphta pulls. If the intent of the extraction is obtaining jungle spice is there any reason to do the initial naphta pulls or would it be possible to just use xylene for the solvent? If this is a viable option how would it effect dose sizes?

I'd pull what I can with naphtha first, as the naphtha DMT can be freeze precipped and stored straight as is. The xylene pulls will have to be salted out of, then re-based or just straight evapped, in which case you will be using more of some solvent which you won't be able to re-use.

I suppose one could just pull with xylene, but be prepared to do alot of pulling

As soulfood said, salt out the goodies, evaping xylene takes ages, smells like $%*t and you gonna need to get that xylene smell out of the full spectrum.

Regarding dose size, just go with what size dose you would with normal freebase, or just start out low and work your way up from there.



Very off topic, but, whats going on here you ask? just the same old stuff, people post, we reply If a MOD feels that a member should be given promotion after even 1 post so be it. Or if any member of the nexus suggests another member for promotion we tend to take that persons word that they are a valued member. So there it is, some members get promoted faster than other for a whole bunch of different reasons

I would like to apologize if you feel my promotion to full member occurred to quickly and would be glad to discuss it via pm or in a thread with the purpose of evaluating my promotion. I honestly mean no offense and fully understand your reluctance to accept my promotion with such a short post history. I do fully intend to be a constructive member of the forum.

No worries, given the nature of the discussions on this forum I completely support the questioning of new members. Seeing as our explorations traverse a realm that most people will never understand it is important to approach new members with a sense of harm prevention if we intend to continue our own explorations in a quasi legal manner. Good travels my friend.

I would also advise pulling w/ naphtha first, until you can pull no more. Then more onto your more polar solvent.

Moving off topic I also was promoted on my 8-12th post. I can't quite remember. From what I can tell the mod's here are looking for dedicated & educated/willing to be educated members. From your intro essay and other posts I feel this was a valid promotion for lysergicIV & myself. If you check the FAQ my one topic is now a link w/in the FAQ. I'm still extremely happy about this, I'm glad to be contributing to the community so quickly even if my post is "old news."

From me to lysergicIV, keep up the good work and know you were promoted rightfully(IMHO.) I still see some members with 50+ posts chilling in the nursery, and if you read the nature of their posts it will be clear why this is.

If you want to get the last goodies out of your MHRB soup, I would suggest using D-limonene and salting after your naphtha pulls - much nicer than xylene... just don't try and evap limonene, it makes a mess...

@dmterrestrial Thanks for your support! While I think IV lsd would probably be awesome the IV is actually a roman numeral because in real life I have an IV in my name. I often forget about the dual meaning when I create names which leads to confusion on forums like this one. I know that the early LSD tests that Ken Kesey participated in actually administered via intramuscular injection, which take effect almost immediately. I however am no a fan of needles so I don't know that I could handle that.
