What would you say is an approximate shelf life in a film canister or pill bottle at room temp? How much would it be extended if placed in the freezer? Just curious... My friend wanted to know and I explained I had a wonderful network of knowledgeable individuals who all had other friends they could refer to...

Oxygen, heat, and prolly light are the biggest enemies. I know of someone who has some 4 year old spice that is still very potent. It is stored in an air tight, brown glass vial, in a cool dark place. Ice House is an alter ego. The threads, postings, replys, statements, stories, and private messages made by Ice House are 100% unadulterated Bull Shit. Every aspect of the Username Ice House is pure fiction. My suggestion would be to keep it in the refrigerator in an air-tight, inert container, with oxygen and water absorber packets. You can get both from certain high-end vitamins/supplements or online.

In dark, airtight and dry place it should last for very long, like 2-5 years and still be a good smoke. I think placing it in the freezer is a bit overkill.

is it better to hold the freebase in its naphtha liquid and then put it in the glass bottle? - my signature has been temporarily moved to another dimension.

A plastic airtight film container seems to work great, in a cool dark dry place of course.
