Helo, apologies if this has been discussed before, but i couldnt find anyhting on it I noticed someone saying simple hot/boiling water is actualy better than alcohol at pulling the alcaloids from caapi anyone know if some boils, strain, then evap would work? (like the mesc resin teks) i ask because iv swiched to foodsafe extractions, and would like to continue in the same way many thanks

many thanks, i may try that out in the future. for now though, i was just wondering if maby, say, a 2 hour boil, followed by reduction and evaporation on more caapi would work as opposed to alcohol soaks. any idea?

Are you talking about caapi leaf or vine ? From the title it looks like you are asking about caapi leafs. If you want enhanced caapi leafs than 30 days in IPA is probably the best option, don't know how would that work with just boiling end evaporating If you are talking about caapi vine than gibran2 tek is the best to extract alkaloids from it. We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another.

Actually boiling in water is much more effective than an IPA soak for 30 days. Just boil 2-3x for 30min each boil combine boils reduce, add leaf to be infused, and evap. Much more efficient than IPA extraction. The difference is very noticeable! Ice House is an alter ego. Thank for that Ice I wish I knew that before I decided to do 30 days extraction By the way check my tomato update how they got beautiful red  end getting better every day.
