I have a changa mix going right now.

1g DMT FB
.5g Calea
.5g Blue Lotus

I used about 40ml of 99% IPA to dissolve the DMT and then added the gram of plant material. The IPA covers the leaves nicely. My question is, is it now safe to put the little bowl in a food dehydrator to help speed the process? I can see two things happening. My fear is that the changa will be sticky or a lot of the DMT will be on the sides of the dish.

Will my fear be unfounded, or should I take it out of the food dehydrator?

I would not do this mix my self. You do not need so much of blue lotus don't know about calea. I would put more 10x b.caapi leaf in ,mint leaf plus mullein leaf, and also at least 100mg of harmalas. Then after all evaporated I would add a bit of blue lotus in it. Maybe .05g

Anyway it looks like you have done already so come back after you tried it.

I've used the calea and blue lotus in those proportions but in smaller amounts and it's worked just fine. Very vivid, intricate experiences.

After about 4 or 5 hours on the food dehydrator the changa was ready. The leaf looked like it had a very thin coat and there was some green oil left in the evap dish. I'll scrape that up latter.

As for the changa... I was amazed. I smoked two small bowls of caapi leaf before I smoked 60mg of changa/30mg DMT. I ended the journey in awe starring at a tree in my back yard with tears of joy in my eye. I didn't know DMT could be like it was last night.

next time you should consider adding some harmalas, glad your blend treated you so nicely!

The blend is very nice! As for adding some Harmalas, I'm making a 10x Caapi extract. I took 10 grams of Caapi leaf and covered it in 99% IPA yesterday and put it on the food dehydrator shortly after I made the blend. I took a look at it this morning and it's internal temp is 121F, it's color is dark green(can't see through it at all, and I took it out into the sun and it turned a dark reddish brown. I also made a jar of 3g Calea and 3g Blue Lotus. It's color is not as dark but it turns red much better.

I've read that it takes weeks to get the IPA/Caapi to take on the color change properties(if at room temp) and hence be ready for evap. What do yall think? Think it's ready or should give it a few weeks?

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about. It should be ready for evap now though.

Some people in the Changa forum, that have created guides to making 10x Caapi, state that you need to let it sit for a month. And that it will change colors in the sun light and shade.

My IPA was pretty dark after about 3 hours and changed colors in 5. I don't think they heat their IPA tho. I know that heating naphtha allows it to hold more so I thought that I would apply some heat since the food dehydrator was already running to help evap some Changa.

I'd think it's fine probably, but I didn't know if the long soak was needed to break anything down. I would have asked in the Changa forum but I don't have rights yet.

as for harmalas - you have to extract it from b.caapi vine look here

and to make 10x caapi extract you have to wait 4 weeks. no more no less.

Do you know why the wait is 4 weeks? I'm not in a hurry. I'd just like to understand why it takes so long for the 10x to be complete. Yesterday I took out the IPA to save and added more to the leaf. I left this on the food dehydrator last night and came back today to see the IPA was a darkish green. The IPA from the 2nd soak wasn't nearly as dark green and didn't color change in the sun.

I have no problem waiting the month or taking it on faith that the people before me know what to do. I'm just trying to understand the process better than "wait 4 weeks"...

I was asking the same question before I did it my self. I did enhanced salvia leafs before and that took only about 5 minutes so I thought I could do the same with caapi leafs. I wanted to do it asap but it is not possible.

To get all the goodies from caapi leafs you really need that long otherwise you will be wasting. It has been tested by many people here. 4 weeks is must, more is not necessary. Keep it in dark place and give it good stir every day.
