spice melting away? Options

SWIM has been using normans tec and when they finally got the spice to precipitate they would pour it through the coffee filter and it just melts away. Could anybody give a helpful hint for them?

Don't use coffee filter... Just pour off the excess naphtha and put it under a fan.
