I've been extracting using noman's tek for a while using heptane and usually come out with a yield that is just shy of a gram of pure white crystals from 100 g of pre-ground root bark. I am wondering does this seem about right to you folks or should I expect more? I usually do 2-3 heated pulls and 1-2 non heated using 100 ml of heptane for eachand have been getting some pretty nice crystals in the fridge. Avg is about .8 grams.

Of course it depends on the quality of your bark, but i would say .8 grams, or about .8 percent is nothing to sneeze at, and i would be satisfied with that yield. sounds like your definetly doing enough pulls, i would look at effeciancy and make sure you are doing everything reapeatable and correctly, but that said, .8% is not bad at all 1% is considered a very acceptable yield.

Oh I am very satisfied. I was just wondering if I was in the right ballpark and it appears that I am. I read somewhere(I think it was erowid) that if you let your already processed basic solution sit for a few months to a year you can get some more spice out of it. I did an experiment with this and got an extra 150-200 mg though it wasn't nearly as pure, still nice to get a little extra though.

How much bark did you use for the extraction? .8g of spice means nothing if not compared to the amount of mimosa used. Sounds like you are satisfied so i guess you achieved a decent result. By the way, your avatar is pretty cool, man.

I have an old an jar of mimosa/base soup just sitting on my desk collecting dust. I will try an extra couple pulls to see if anything will precipitate. Good luck and have fun...

oh I used 100 g of pre-ground root bark. sorry I should have specified. and thanks hunter s gonzo kills it yeah and the article on using old solution is just in erowids dmt vaults. it should be pretty easy to find. the guy said he got the same yield as before after waiting a year. who knows if its true though

no worries, let me know how your pulls on the old solution go. I don't think I gave mine enough time to really get a good amount of spice out the old solution. I probably waited 3 months max

I achieved .8 about a gram on a stb tek adenium bark 50 grm & 50 grm lye & 700ml h20 So I always shoot for a grm when im doing 50 grm extractions
