Unfortunately written in German language, nonetheless interesting, imho. Mimosa hostilis is used as a source of firewood and charcoal in the caatingas! http://www2.tu-berlin.de...nen/bbue/bbue16kd_i.pdf
The most valuable ligneous plants of the Caatinga are Amburana cearensis, used for the furniture production and Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia for the production from fence stakes. For the Production of firewood and charcoal is Mimosa hostilis the most important tree species of the Caatinga.” Isn’t it ironic! OM

The natural habitat of Jurema is over here. In the northeast of Brazil, states of: Parahyba, Ceará, Pernambuco, Bahia, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte...It's highly invasive plant! North/northeastern states each one have a city called 'Jurema'.

High quality native Jurema's rootbark is very cheap here in the "Sertão da Paraíba".

climate restricts what swim can grow here, for the temperature is a SWELTERING 25 degrees fahrenheit right now, and shipping really isnt much if the source is legit.
