 Fig. 1: I call it the halls of Amenti; it's about, well... mushrooms as a doorway to deeper knowledge about the cosmos, the self, etc.  Fig. 2: Called communication; It's about the intersubjective space created by two beings...  Fig. 3: Drop of consciousness; as it falls - it's natural progression - consciousness grows, like the embryo inside, also signified by the eyes in the background, closed at first, then farther down the the painting open, as in an awakening...  Fig. 4: HDR image of fire I took a few years ago and played with the algorithms to combine the images. Fun times! All of this done by me. Most of it almost 10 years ago. I haven't touched oil paints since. I miss it. I used my hands/fingers for a lot of the background stuff... that's what's so great about oil, it stays *wet* for a long time and you can kind of mold the colors and work with them however you please. I love it. painting was trance-like for me when I used to do it. Now I don'T have any paint supplies left, nor the time to paint. I imagine some day in the distant future I will go back to it again.
