Has anyone tried this combination? I took an 80mg dose of Ritalin LA about 3.5 hours ago and I just extracted a huge batch of DMT. I am wondering if the Ritalin would prevent me from reaching hyperspace. If anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Why are you taking ritalin in the first place? Are you being prescribed for a diagnosed condition?

The DMT nexus is not about mixing anything with DMT, I hope you understand that. Ritalin is a pharmaceutical amphetamine, not the kind of substance we discuss in this place.

ritalin is bunk. Sorry but I just dont believe that there is a legit medical reason for someone to need ritalin. Your gunna fuck yourself up if you are taking speed daily.

endlessness, I am prescribed it for severe ADHD. Fractal, I have severe ADHD, and whether you believe me or not, it does help with my performance and stable mental abilities.
Back to endlessness, I am not talking about mixing it for a different high, I just want to know if I am able to take it while on Ritalin. I apologize if my intentions seemed anything other than such.
May the DMT be with you. -MHRB Wan Kenobi.

Thanks for the input. I think I'll wait for the Ritalin effects to wear off first.

How old are you and how long have you been on Ritalin? If you don't mind.

I dont want to involve with other peoples affairs, but whatever you do, dont use ritalin.
Its speed, nothing more or less dangerous as it is for recreational use.
From my 10year ritalin experience i suggest you dont take it ever.
Psychological treatment can IMHO never be helped or solved by certain drugs.
Psychedelics might be the special case among drugs.

If depression/or psychological diagnosed pills contained psychedelics, i probably wouldnt share this blame.

Ritalin can fuck you up in my opinion. ADHD is a term given to people when they dont fit the status quo. Same with ADD. If you get bored sitting in class all day long or stacking boxes in the production line all day long etc or sitting in some office and instead get distracted with other things you have "ADHD"..it's a bullshit lable that comes out of a bullshit medical practice that would rather drug people into submission by focussing on differences as weaknesses rather than seeing them as strengths to be applied accordingly. No humans ever sat around in some classroom or office all day long. That is NOT natural at all. Druggiing people so that they can sit all day long or do some rediculous job is wrong.

My teacher told my mother I needed ritalin in elementary school and my mother told her to fuck herself. Do you think it is natural to require daily doses of amphetamine to be normal? There is nothing normal about it.

I think a lot of us share a distrust for Big Pharma and its pretty clear that there is a huge interest in over-diagnosing kids with ADHD. But of course, how is most of ADHD diagnosed? Usually starts when kids cant pay attention to school.. But why isnt it ever questioned if its the school's (or educational system's) fault to begin with, that kids arent interested? Or what about the simple fact that in modern society kids are under extreme diversity of stimulus and therefore they are used to multitasking? So maybe society shouldnt give kids all these tons of colourful toys and electronic gadgets and tv and videogame and then complain they cant sit still for 5 hours straight listening to some monotone teacher talk about some subject that isnt significant to them?

In any case, most of us here aren't doctors, and even those that are wouldnt really diagnose over some written words, maybe just give some general ideas and tips. So what I mean is, even if Big Pharma sucks, and even if we were really knowledgeable with medicine, still we should be careful saying stuff like "dont take this dont take that" as if we absolutely know whats best for someone else, specially when dealing with something like mental health.

I think its right to make the OP question if there aren't other possible ways of dealing with one's condition (or even questioning the condition itself), but the decision to stop a treatment or medication should only be done together with a good doctor. It may be one's doctor isnt good, so do research around, but please consult with a professional (and Nexians please be careful how you give your advices)

I have no interest in being careful with saying dont take ritalin. Dont take Ritalin! There is no medical evidence to support the use of ritalin. I dont care if I am not a doctor. I know there is no evidence to support it.

Even if you're right, you still dont know what kind of consequences a sudden interruption of medication such as ritalin can lead to. What if in this case it leads to extreme depression and the OP kills himself?

So I still think OP should talk to a professional if he/she feels unhappy with his treatment and find the best alternative and the best way to get to that alternative safely

Don't take ritalin. They don't know about the long-term effects of this pill. I even read somewhere about a mother whose child died from Ritalin. And she's getting parents together who had the same issue to warn people about the possible dangers of these drugs. It's addictive and u become dependant on it. That's already an established fact. How can that ever be good for you?

The biggest downside of ritalin is very similar to MDMA. I know from people who took mdma and are estatic for the whole night but the next day or even the whole week is just being depressed because you ran out of dopamine fuel or something. I think Ritalin is the same thing but because of the chronic prescription they usually give.(3 pills a day) In the long term it might cause severe depression.

Fractal (and anyone else tempted to chime in with a similar position) - Kindly knock this off right now. You are way out of line. You're not a doctor, you don't know this person and you're not qualified to comment on his prescribed medication. That's not what we do here and you're perfectly aware of community policy.

To the OP - DMT and Ritalin together sound horrific to me. Please be extremely careful. Don't go off doctor prescribed meds to experiment with psychedelics. Now just may not be the time for you to take this leap.

Not an "emergency" per se but this is the thread with community guidelines regarding health advices Uncle Knucles refers to:

My friend wants to try DMT but is also prescribed Ritalin, he just switched recently from Adderall. He has been on it for probably 15 years, since he was very young. Id like to know if it is safe, I can assume the biggest problem is perhaps the change in blood pressure, palpitations, arrhythmia all of which have been documented with DMT, at least to some extent.

To add to the disagreement of use, I will add that my friend gets depressed and sits around and does nothing when he is not medicated and becomes somewhat unstable, depressed, and has very abstract or negative thinking patterns and behavior such as suicide ideation, violence, anger, etc. Sort of loses his mind...Although this may just be an underlying condition. I guess if he were to partake he should not dose for atleast 24-72 hours prior to ingestion.

As far as the stimulants go, caffeine should not be ingested prior to taking DMT, just for safety reasons.

No one here can tell you this combination is safe. Personally, DMT and any kind of stimulant taken in combination sounds to me like a very bad idea. Neither can anyone here in good conscience recommend suspending medications. We're not qualified to make such assessments, so we just don't.

Is everyone clear on this? It's Traveler's explicit policy and it's not open to individual interpretation or debate - not even a little bit.

I understand completely, my assessment is my own based on the fact that my friend has stopped taking his medication for a few days at a time just to be off it and experience the sobriety. My guess is that DMT does not interact with very many drugs at all, unless they are acting upon the same site receptors. More research needs to be done on what happens when DMT is administered, so we can evaluate it more safely, in things such as combinations.

Understood sir. I agree if someone wants to discuss pharmaceutical drugs like ritalin they should make a thread about it. I just also have a strong opinion about them and it's hard for me to keep my mouth shut. So I apologize. I'm sure the OP got all the information he wanted now. And I have good faith that he's smart enough to make his own decisions for him.
