This is interesting... SWIM has just been messing around with new processes, trying to find ways to extract goodies without the use of harsh or expensive NP solvents.

He took 100g san pedro powder, and mixed it with 25g caoh and a little bit of water, a la 69ron's tek. He then added enough 91% IPA to cover the powder, shook it up and let it soak for a day or two...

He let the filtered alcohol evaporate, and added a good amount of vinegar (>100ml) at the last stage of evaporation. The material was scraped up, and washed with cold, dry MEK 5 times until the MEK no longer took any color.

The material was then dissolved into boiling MEK, filtered, and evaporated to yield 200mg of yellow mescaline acetate crystals. The 200mg is from just one pull, but still it seems like a very very low yield.

SWIM though it was interesting that somewhat pure crystals could be obtained without use of xylene, toluene or d-limonene.

Thanks for the experimentation and sharing Smile But.... why is MEK and IPA less "harsh" than limonene?
