Hi Rabbit! I was just reading through some of these introductions, before I post my own, and thought I'd introduce myself to you!
I love how you speak of life, and connect art to magic. I was raised by an artist, and introduced to many different forms of audible, visual and tactile arts at a very early age. It is not surprising to note that I am studying theatrical design in college. One of the great things about theatre, and all art, is the ability to create whole new worlds for people to see, and interpret from their own perspectives. My personal dream is to run a production company, and host music festivals.
I had already decided that I was going to be a part of a production company, but I had not specified the type, until going to my first music festival. I have now been to three, this summer, and continuously find a wonderful family of psychonauts, artists, musicians, politicians and philosophers. I guess what I love about festivals is the simple fact that you find normal people there, normal people creating amazing works of art, and who still wanna sip on an ice-cold one with you 'round the campfire.
Spending time here, mostly on chat, I find that the community here is much the same. I find that I can sit down and have a conversation about almost anything with the people here, and initiate or find(at least moderately =P ) respectful, intelligent conversation, at all hours of the day.
I also really love how you talk about how psychedelics have helped to shape how you see day-to-day life. Though you state it may be for the better or for worse, it would seem that you side with the better. I very much agree that these experiences alone are not enough for growth, and I'm glad you understand that! More people could use to understand the simple power of their own minds(without substances). Psychedelics have helped me to repair, and create anew, portions of my brain that were lost during the injury, and also similarly, repair the chronic depression I suffered from, as a result.
I hope we can speak of these things again sometime, but for now, namaste.
