many people discard the cores of their cacti because it wasnt inlcuded in the guide they were told to follow or what have you, but what about a specific guide for extracting specifically non desirable flesh/ cores. the non desirable flesh would be like the flesh lost around the spines when despining, the callus on the bottom, the annoying top 3 inches of peeling i cut off instead of battle, and then the white/green flesh between the dark green and core. the core is just for linkin logs, or rotting.... anyway we wont even waste materials on it

the best mesc teks i know use green flesh that include a paste bassification to focus the base right on the mesc needing released, so dehydrating all the scraps is essential otherwise a "core tea extraction" is just shitty, trust me.
so powder the garbage from your triches
bassify
orange oil
hcl salt
acetone wash
optional anhydrous ipa alkaloid separation

ive read the green flesh contains 5% up to even 10%! whereas the innards only 1%, but with the green scraps and slightly sacrificed green material a 2% seems reasonable and welcome

an alternate approach would be using an alcohol extraction to make a full spectrum tar, dehydrate this entirely and then directly bassify as if it were the green flesh in 69rons pure white mesc tek, this is to avoid reagent loss that typically occurs when dealing with less effective material

!

dont we all wish!
even the most potent of trichs rarely top 4-5%

be thankful if you get 1.5-2% irl from any part of the cactus

thats a fun yield

still yet to see any purified extract at 10% in reliable lit or elsewhere, any source for that info?

speak for yourself! I always use my cores, and the 1% of dry wt yield is better than a lot of commercially sold skins.

200 mg/foot of achuma core is what this cats ratio has been looking like (minus the wooden middle)

Ditto. The best I've seen is near 5% from isolated outer skin.

In private conversations with an expert in this area I did learn about some analysis having to dilute their results because the method of measurement they employed had an upper limit. Basically if the recovery was too high they couldn't quantify it, so they diluted it to get an accurate measurement. So rumor has it that 6% whole plant is expected to be the upper range for the plants, that could result in a 10% yield for outer skin, but nobody has reported that in any anecdote or in any publication so far.

Studies in the Andes like in Peru show a range from 0.0%-2% whole plant, but they are not exhaustive studies, only cursory at best.
