Due to the current DDoS attacks, we restricted the access to the chat for new members.

This is a temporarily measure to keep any malicious person to make an new account and join the chat. As soon as we have all back to normal we will open the chat again for new members. Sorry for the inconvenience and I hope you understand.

I know were under attack but can i have my original account unlocked, i was building quite the reputation around here. TheFly = Original account; Everytime i try to login it get no response or firefox reports some status error message idk. Thanks regardless

BTW Im sick of Anon, they took down the PS3 network and now my favorite website!? I have a spare server if The Traverler or endlessness (who ever is the admin) if its possible to make backups of the website i can upload it to my server daily and is case this happens again we will still have a website. Of course this backup will only contain non-database information, just the HTML data so we can all see our posts for reference. Like i said i really dislike anon, we probubly can't destory them but we can keep our favorite website up and running! THE SPIRIT LIVES ON!

They're making it sounds like each of us have clandestine type labs where we are doing ungodly experiments resulting with Frankenstein abominations rofl. Have they seriously run out of places to screw with? Or did a few people from 4chan/wherever get banned for trolling/being idiots and felt the need to revenge? And secondly, the site isn't that "low profile" hell it comes up on google on the front page right after "DMT knife sharperners". Did it really "expose" the site to the outside world anymore then it already has? What they're doing is really like 5th grade guerrilla tactics it seems, tryng to act like leet hackers. It seems they are targeting drug sites too, such as cannabis forums as well. They're also attempting Tosh.0's site from comedycentral (for the lulz!! obviously ) My favourate "raid" I've read about is "linecash" or something, where they're taking $1's and drawing faces on the president on the front....then....SENDING IT BACK INTO CIRCULATION OMFG. It's like tagging "BUTT" or something dumb on the a stop sign, it serves no purpose but to give ONE person a laugh and everyone roll their eyes.

It sounds like a bunch of lame kids doing this, hell the tactics they're talking about using to harass random people online are stuff I figured out when I was 10. I guess they find it too hard to go after FBI or other political/law organization, so we'll just screw with these dudes!

Any thoughts when the chat will be back open? Would it be possible to block only the people who have DDoS'ed from the site? (and therefore, chat too)

I have a few smaller questions that aren't important enough to make a new thread(s) for, the chat was great for quickly asking and answering them. It was awesome to talk to other Nexians too
I'll probably edit them into my introduction thread if the chat isn' up for a while, it's all good

is chat down again, or did I not get the memo?

I seldom get the memo, but when I do I try to disseminate it far and wide. I could not get into chat earlier today - like around 11:30 a.m., but then around 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. I got in. I had to leave soon thereafter. Upon returning from various errands at 7:00 p.m. and on several attempts since then, no joy entering chat.

All times PST for USA.

Maybe tomorrow will be better.
