I was so close! I sat there, with my new gvg. Lighting it with a normal lighter. First attempt I inhaled a decent amount not even noticing. I was watching the chamber to see if I could see it vape up. Before I even realized it the whole tube was clouded. I held in for around 15 seconds. Next hit. Still uncertain about how much was inhaled as I wasn't noticing the pipe fill. Then finally the third hit. Things were moving, my mind filled with colors and racing thoughts. Tool's Lateralus was the only sounds I heard. Then I coughed and expelled the smoke too soon. I felt great though and without any warning I started to vomit. I didn't feel sick, but I think this may have beena mental reaction to almost breaking through. I feel I have a strong ego that is resisting this kind of release from reality. It is the kind that fears death. The kind that fears the unknown. I want it so bad but a part of me still fights that feeling! Soon it won't have a choice.

Don't be afraid to take baby steps. Get used to the [hyper]space. Spend some time getting to know what you're working with, "learn to swim" first and then you'll find that jumping off the high dive won't be as scary

Well I am certainly not afraid of taking baby steps, just that big leap gets me. I'm just impatient to see the beauty I suppose.

I guess the beauty can turn into uglyness, if you don't give yourself the time you need.
Be patient. You got all the time in the world to get there. No hurry...

I used to have a strong ego too but through the use of psychedelics I've become a much more peaceful, open person.
Glad to see someone else on a similar road.
Create your own reality my friend, find yourself Smile
Quote:
Give up already. Some people say you should never give up but don't be foolish. Knowing when to give up is important for both survival and is vital to being able to learn effectively. Giving up on some tasks gives you more time and energy to focus on other more important tasks. This may confuse or annoy you, some people have more ambition and determination than sense, but I'll give you some examples to illustrate my point:

You should give up on being like everyone else so you can be true to yourself. Give up on an easy mundane life so that you can live life sincerely. Give up on feeling safe and secure so you can live your dreams. Give up on being perfect so you can be your best. Life is all about trade-offs. There is no right or wrong way to live your life but that doesn't mean you can act however you want and still achieve anything you want. To add something you must remove something else. To achieve something you must give up on something else.

I was listening to Lateralus today too while I was smoking Spice. Just keep hittin the pipe my friend, you'll break through. It's all about letting go of your fear. This morning was my first breakthrough. Another good song to listen to is Jambi and Thomas by A Perfect Circle. Very spiritual songs. TOOL + Spice = awesome

My first breakthrough experience!
