Greetings to all the good people of the nexus.

I'm using the Noman STB tek and I'm concerned that because my separation funnel has only a small hole in the tap (approx 2mm.) that the plant matter in the base solution is going to block and prevent drainage.

Can I filter through a cotton filter and sieve before separation or might this form an emulsion or even worse filter spice from the solvent?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Big love.

Filtering a solution containing freebase DMT will more than likely filter out some DMT as it's quite insoluble in water.

You need to siphon it off the top unless you can buy/build a sep funnel with at least a 1/2" opening. A/B can use a regular sep funnel if you get around to trying that.
