Hey
I made some enhanced leaf with 1:1.5 DMT to leaf ratio. Just to be sure: if I wish to smoke 30mg spice, then I load my pipe with 30+45 = 75mg leaf. Correct?
What do you recommend for a first time use? Pure spice or enhanced leaf? I guess it may be more difficult to burn the leaf all in one toke. If I don't burn it right, or if I inhale too early, I'll miss the hit. Whereas the vaporizing of FB seems to be pretty easy, at least with my new device (VaporGenie Glass loaded with steel wool).... (it's just my guess)
I appreciate your suggestions.

Are you using a torch lighter? A normal lighter will work but take longer for enhanced leaf than FB. With a torch lighter, SWIM can easily clear either. Might as well start with pure spice so you can see the difference with enhanced leaf. What blends were you thinking of trying? PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

I suggest you try making some enhanced leaf with 10x b. caapi in the future. 10x Will definitely lengthen and enhance the experience. I agree with ragabr, use a torch lighter if you can. My experience with regular lighters hasn't been too pleasant. As for the dosage, I suggest working your way up. Maybe try 50 mgs of the infused leaf first. If it seems too weak, then try 75 mgs. Do you put it on a bed of pure leaf? When using a torch lighter, isn't the initial heat much too high, so that the DMT starts to burn? Do you put a small cover of pure leaf on top as well? One should start inhaling only after the torch lighter has lit everything, and then during inhalation, the lighter is not used anymore? Or are you using the lighter straight all way throu? ragabr wrote: Might as well start with pure spice so you can see the difference with enhanced leaf. What blends were you thinking of trying?
Yes, I think I'll start with pure spice. I made blends with Damiana and Pao d'arco so far... @Perceptual Reality: Thanks for the dosage hint!

With the GVG you don't have to worry about too much heat, the DMT won't burn. When using the torch lighter with a GVG, nothing should burn inside. You use the lighter all the way through. Basically, you'll start the lighter up and point it at the heating element for a few seconds (it will probably start to turn red), then begin pulling slowly until you see the vapor coming through. Once that happens, pull at your normal speed. I've never tried damiana, but am a great fan of Pau! PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

Do you suggest to smoke the leaf with the GVG too? I wanted to use it for pure spice only, and to smoke the leaf in a swirl glass pipe. I was thinking that the leaf should really burn. Am I wrong? By the way, according to the GVG manual, you shouldn't use a torch lighter with the GVG, because it would produce soot at the heat filter part on top. ragabr wrote: I've never tried damiana, but am a great fan of Pau!
I like Damiana itself a lot, smoked as well as a tea. That's why I thought I'd give it a try.

SWIM only uses the GVG for her spice consumption, both FB and changa. All of the different effects of blends come through completely, without burning the plant. At least, with Pau D'arco, Blue Lotus, Electric Sheep, Ayahuasca Android, Caapi leaf and Passion Flower. I don't have my manual any more, but they definitely suggest using a torch lighter to clean soot off the heat filter here. In their specific post on torch lighters, they're unsure whether to recommend them or not. They're very popular here on the Nexus and very effective. Also, you don't touch the flame to the filter with a torch lighter, unlike with a normal lighter, so that's a definite benefit. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms
