So I am sitting here listening to The Orb's track plateau one of my favorite for tripping after just taking a 30mg toke of my xtal clear spice and whenever i get a really good dose (good atomization, good heat, deep breath, held for at least 25 to 30 seconds) i am overcome with everything thing around me moving at the speed of light at least what i perceive as light speed and i have this anxiety that causes me to move very rigidly and im almost always squeezing my hands together in weird ways i normally never do and i seem to scan my surroundings every 2 seconds. Once the expericance has tapered off im always hoping for it again but while im in it its this state of perpetual horror and awe. now i hear alot of people saying harmalas slow the experience down what does this mean does it spread it out over a longer span of time like instead of a 45 second onset with a 4 minute peak and a 8 minute come down it will stretch it to a 2 to 3 minuter onset with a 10 minute peak and a 20 minute comedown?? im curious because i feel if i could slow it down a bit it wouldnt be as harrowing for me i am going to try to do some breathing exercises but please let me know your guys feelings on this? I am not new to psychadelics but very new to harmalas and the spirit molecule so please anything enlightening would be appreciated!

When I use sublingual harmalas (15-25mg) about 20-30 minutes before a DMT journey, the effects are definitely slowed – in the literal sense. It’s a bit like reducing the playback speed on a recording. The length of the peak experience isn’t extended very much, but the comedown is maybe twice as long as otherwise.

Using sublingual harmalas doesn’t really make the experience any less “harrowing”, but if the speed is what troubles you, then I think harmalas will help.

I would take harmalas plus a small threshhold dose if oral DMT..then smoke. Thats the best possible way to smoke DMT I can think of if you really want to get alot of work done. It will last longer and it feels more calibrated for my nervous system that way. 80 grams of caapi and like .5-1g of mimosa is good for me, then I smoke as little as just 5-7 mg or more...then it all starts. It comes on much slower and I have the time to lay back before it peaks..its like a shorter version of a full ayahuasca peak. Goes for about 20 minutes before it tapers off back into just a strong caapi space..then I take another hit.

Sublingual is nice as well, but I really like to have the harmalas in my stomache for some reason.
Long live the unwoke.
