So, I have approximately 3 feet (varying widths, I just got a scale so I couldn't weigh the whole cacti) T. pachanoi liquified in my fridge. I did the "despine-chop-skin-freeze-liquify" method of preparation. I have been with this ally, or at least his close cousin (T. bridgesii), only 1 foot between 2 people (I got somewhat more of the slime)... it was an experience, to say the least...

anyway, my question is this: at this point in preparation, is it possible to boil off some of the water? I mean, I know that this is how it is traditionally prepared, but I'm worried about losing alkaloids and this is going 3 ways.

Thanks!

I don't think it'll be a problem. As long as you not use a pressurecooker which reach higher temps than 100 Celcius you won't lose alkaloids. I did 4 hours of boiling and the material was totally active. I also did a fresh cactus extraction with boiling involved and yielded 310 mg of almost pure mescaline from about 1 kg fresh material which again was active. As you mentioned yourself it is the traditional method and they even boil it for more than 10 hours.

Happy tripping with this amazing plant!

thats why a pressure cooker works so very nicely.

Note:
boil off the bubley slime first, or it'll overflow the pc

dont need any heat,
dont liquify in the future

chunks into tea if you want a solution

dehydrate the green portion of the plant if you want to eat something

liquifying the green portion alone is a doable thing to drink aswell

best of luck,
that is all one dose by the way
dont pussy out, get more veggies

SWIM has reduced cactus juice in an open crock pot set on low for 8+ hours... never got hot enough to boil, no noticeable loss in potency.
