so my dog isis has an STB tek going. MHRB, Naptha, lye. Isis has done three pulls the first two over about 2hrs each the third waiting about 6 hours. Isis is planning on waiting a full 24 hours before the fourth. The question is could she just keep pulling using post precip naptha? isis would assume she would get less alkaloids each time but my dog is very frugal and want to waste nothing.

If you keep pulling with the same solvent used for the first pull, it wont do anything the second pull. you have to use fresh naptha, or naptha that the dmt has already been removed from. the dmt fills up the naptha, thats why you make multiple pulls, because the naptha doesnt hold as much that is in the mhrb.

How about with fresh naptha? could I just keep pulling and pulling?

I think it's common to pull until you are not getting any more crystals.

you generally want to use 1-2 ml per gram of mimosa, so if you use 100 grams of mimosa bark, use 100 to 150 ml of solvent divided over 3 pulls. so do 50 ml per pull 3 times. wait and do a 4th pull to add a little to your total yeild, or dont wait, or dont do the 4th pull. I have never seen to big a change in the end product. sometimes you will just pull out for fat and oil with the 4th pull. use a calculator, do your math so you get the best product. every little step will count.

The short answer is yes. You can use recycled naphtha that you have already retrieved the goodies from. However, when you pull from the mimosa, you not only pull goodies but a bunch of other stuff too. When you freeze precip, you are only removing the goodies - all the other stuff remains, thus slightly saturating the solvent making it a little "weaker". As you keep using the same naphtha over and over, more and more of this "other stuff" will accumulate in the naphtha, further saturating it, further reducing the amount of goodies it can hold. So there comes a point when you have to discard your naphtha and start fresh, simply because it is so saturated with other stuff that it can't hold much goodies. But you can still use it multiple times before this happens.
