SWIM followed Noman's tek with a 1g/1.25g/15ml ratio of MHRB/lye/water with 4 pulls of .4ml per gram warm naphtha per gram of MHRB. 67g of MHRB was used. Since using powdered MHRB SWIM added more water/ lye mix before adding naphtha. Yields of pulls: 1) 60mg 2) 60 mg 3) 25mg 4) 30 mg. This is about a 0.26% yield.
It was noticed that the naphtha seperates fairly easily using the end over end method, like immediately with some brown solution slowly trickling away. The 3rd pull was the lowest yield from doing a sodium carbonate wash, and produced the darkest yellow crystals. The naphtha was not allowed to cool until put into the freezer.
Also the MHRB was ordered from the former plantdyes.net as a 1/2 lb. But 67g removed about a whole third of the total bark.
Roebic crystal drain cleaner, VM&P Naphtha and 500ml sep funnel were used as well.
Disappointed and confused.

Your naptha may not have been saturated enough or your freezer cold enough for a freeze precip. Try evaporating the naptha down halfway and freezing it again or evaporating it to dry if you want to eliminate precip as a variable. You could also throw some fresh naptha into the solution and shake the shit out of it periodically for a day or so to eliminate agitation as a variable. Good luck and dont throw anything away - it's in there somewhere.

Just want to offer a testimonial on Noman's and minor variations - I'm consistently achieving 1.4-1.5+ percent these days, regardless of source of the MHRB. Noman has the word on this tek and he will not waste your time. Hopefully, as he suggested, you have not thrown your solution away. Keep trying. Post questions as they come up. It's part of what the Nexus is about. Hoping it goes well and wishing you a better yield. "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU

I think the naphtha not being saturated enough might be a big part of it. How fast do you turn-mix the solution? Since the naphtha was rising to the top very fast, even on the later extractions, I think a more agressive mixing may be in order...and waiting longer allowing it to fully seperate.
What will be tried next is to save all of the naphtha that has already been freeze preciped and combine them all from the pulls; then evap to a little less than half the volume and repeat freezing.
Thanks, SWIM wont give up
