click on the attach files box at the bottom of the post a reply box, and pick the file you want to post.

Allowed File Types
*.avi, *.bmp, *.doc, *.gif, *.jpg, *.mov, *.mp3, *.mpg, *.pdf, *.png, *.ppt, *.rar, *.rm, *.tif, *.txt, *.wav, *.wma, *.wmv, *.wpd, *.xls, *.zip

click upload and it should be there

I've had trouble with this too. There is a box to check to attatch photo but there is no option to choose a file or upload button.

img tags seem to work okay. These are a lot more flexible than the attach function.

To use them hit the 'insert image' button when typing your post, or just type the following (minus all asterisks) [*img*] *insert url to your image here* [*/img*]. Provided the text between the bracketed tags points to a hosted image, it will display in-post - usually you'll have to upload your image to a hosting site like ImageShack first.
