hi, im going to post the PM i sent to Jorkest.. i didnt know i can only make threads in this section Smile
here is the message:

Hi, ive been reading this forum for a while, but i never had the chance to write any post... i really appreciate what you guys are doing!

today i wanted to open a thread regarding a problem that SWIM had encountered during a BLAB Extraction, but i noticed that i couldnt.. do i have a limited account? can i unblock it?
SWIM really needs some help.. he doesnt want to waste all the time and money he invested into it...

the problem: everything during the extraction went fine till the last step, when SWIM had to mix the dissolved DMT with the Sodium Carbonate Solution and put it in the fridge for the Fumarates Conversion(step 6)... he waited 5 days and when he took the bowl out and emptied it from the Sodium Carbonate Solution he found no crystals on the bottom.. such a sad thing, especially after seeing all those beautiful crystals during the DMT Fumarates steps(4A/5A)!

SWIM thought about various reasons: one could be that he poured too much Sodium Carbonate Solution in the dissolved DMT(6)... he almost used all of the 100ml he was supposed to prepare! was it too much water to let the DMT precipitate?
or maybe because he didnt get rid of all the D-Limonene during the step 5A... when he dissolved the DMT and mixed it with the Sodium Carbonate Solution(6) he saw lots of D-Limonene floating! maybe the D-Limonene didnt let the DMT precipitate? sounds weird though!

solutions: SWIM has a friend with a food dehydrator... if he evaporates all the water(and traces of D-Limonene) is he going to end up smoking DMT and Sodium Carbonate? would it be toxic?
otherwise, if his first supposition(too much Sodium Carbonate Solution) is right, he could just reduce the quantity of water by using his friend's machine and then put the bowl on the fridge for few more days...

hope you can help him!

many thanks

How much dmt fumarate was dissolved in how much water? Then how fast/slowly did you mix the sodium carb solution? Did the whole solution turn cloudy when adding the sodium carb solution to the dissolved dmt fumarate? How does it look now, there isnt any precipitation at all, still cloudy?

Another possibility is, as you supposed, that remaining limonene trapped dmt. Instead of evaporating it all, why dont you pull with limonene again? The DMT should be in freebase form and therefore soluble in limonene. Disadvantage is having to repeat the whole salting and all again, but it should work fine. Remember nothing is lost if you didnt throw anything away.

Another thing you can do is freezer the whole solution and thaw, and see if anything precipitates.

Keep us informed, it will work out dont worry Smile

thanks for your reply endlessness!

SWIM doesnt know exactly how much DMT fumarate he dissolved because he didnt weight it, but it looked quite a bit(4g ish).. keep in mind that he used the same quantitiy of mimosa(450g) that is mentioned in the extraction technique!
if SWIM remembers right he used 20ml of hot water to dissolve the fumarate and 100ml of sodium carbonate saturated water... he has started mixing the solution quite slowly and then after half an hour he mixed it quickly with a spoon. yes, the solution turned cloudy and it stayed like that since then! here is a picture...

SWIM is probably going to do another pull with the limonene... he is not worried about time, he just want his spice!

peace
