swim bought a can of solvent claimed to be light naphta, but it's a sort of diesel,bp. 160°c
so how to get the stuff out? can he evaporate at this temperature without breack dmt molecules?can he wash it with etanol or acetone? does he need to acidify with hcl and reextract from it? help please Crying or very sad

The substances dont need to be in their boiling point to evaporate (hence why a drop of water that falls in the floor will dry after a while even though the floor isnt at boiling temp ).

So if the solvent you have is volatile and evaps cleanly, it will do so regardless of the boiling point be 160c.. What can happen is that it takes longer to evaporate, but it will still do (again, considering it is a clean-evaping solvent, you should check msds for possible unwanted additives). You can add a bit of heat (flame-less mild heat source) to help evaping faster, just be sure to stay under 100c

Another option would be salting out from the solvent with a fumaric acid solution (prefferably, if you want solid dmt fumarate or solid dmt freebase later on after converting), or you can salt out with vinegar (though vinegar salted products often do not harden up and stay as a goo). The advantage of this option is not needing to evaporate, being able to later reuse the solvent and diminishing the chance of having solvent traces in your final product

Check BLAB tek for instructions on salting and then converting to freebase, the principles should be the same (though I have no idea about what would be better in this specific solvent you have, FASI, or FASA.. FASW will def work, and so will vinear salting )

That being said, I have no idea whats up with 'diesel'.. AFAIK thats a generic name for gasoline, and gasoline might have nasty additives (including heavy metals?) which you def dont want to be messing with. So please be sure that whatever solvent you have is clean, with only non-polar volatile components in it that wont screw up the extraction. I bet you can get better solvents than diesel Pleased
